Logistics platforms show a special configuration where a broad companies group can be found in a geographic limited area [1]. In this zone there are shared equipments and services used for persons and vehicles; these resources are managed by a logistics operator. Traffic jam is a common problem in logistics platforms located close to the cities and it is caused because of inappropriate resources allocation at in/out points[1]; at the same time, this problem produces bottle-necks in the access to the platform, big lines of vehicles entering the area and long waiting-times; this is the case in Zona Franca Bogotá, where capacity expansion is a long-term solution based on a great resources investment. It is necessary to carry out a low-cost, short-term strategy allowing a suitable spends of resources. This paper proposes to use simulation as a tool for modeling this type of dynamic systems. We intend to obtain statistic behavior collecting data during simulation process and experiment on the analysis system. This approach also pretends to compare and evaluate different operation strategies for the system of access to the platform.
