This study was investigated to assess the effects of different traditional and commercial aqua feed on proximate composition, growth performance and survival rate of Labeo rohita reared in the composite semi-intensive culture system. The aqua feeds of various companies (AMG, Supreme, Aqua, Star Floating, Hi-Pro and Punjab feed) used as commercial feed. Farm made feeds were maize gluten and rice polish. For confidentiality, these feeds were randomly given code labels T1, T2, T3, T4, T5, T6, T7 and T8 which were only known to investigating staffs. There were two replicates for each treatment. In this experiment, higher growth rate was observed in T3 as compared to other treatments. Lesser weight gain was observed in the T1 ( 270.30 ± 0.5 ). The maximum body length ( 19.25 ± 2.19) was found in T3. Similarly, the minimum body length (5.97 ± 2.94) was seen in T2. FCR ratio (2.36 ± 0.01 ) was recorded in T3. Simultaneously, FCR (1.86 ± 0.002 ) was also recorded in T4 that is the perfect ratio for farmers. Higher SGR was noted in T3 (1.62 ± 0.05 ). Overall, T4 showed lesser SGR (1.05 ± 0.001 ). T4 showed the higher crude protein ( 28.66 ± 0.24 % ). In the body composition higher level of fat content was recorded in T3 ( 5.46 ± 0.33 %). These outcomes also proved that the rise in the dietary protein level and lipid content can improve the fish’s body crude fats and protein level. Thus, based on growth performance, survival and proximate composition. It is concluded that T3 and T4 may be recommended for commercial culture of L. rohita.
The present study focuses on the use of Motivational Synergy as means to ameliorate the comprehension of ESL Learners at various campuses of the University of Education. The study is correlational. The survey method was adopted to carry out the research. A convenient purposive sampling technique was used to collect the sample which is comprised of 100 public sector university students including 33% males and 67% females studying in the M.A. English program. This study focused on reading comprehension and listening comprehension. The results show that bottom-up training had a negative impact on comprehension. In contrast, top-down training positively affected fluency but had no impact on comprehension. Further, the results do suggest that fast-paced reading may potentially lead to improved comprehension. These findings have implications for the type of language instruction used in classrooms and, therefore, for teachers of adult ESL learners.
Proficient academic writing skill is the need by students of higher education levels to acquire academic success. Therefore, enhancing one's English language skills, particularly academic writing at the undergraduate level, is crucial for academic success in Pakistani universities. The most significant difficulty, on the other hand, is related to the level of academic writing proficiency exhibited by college-level students. As a result, this study was undertaken using a quantitative technique to evaluate students' opinions of problematic and tough areas of academic writing skills and to provide recommendations based on them. All enrolled students at public universities in Sindh were included in the study population, and 372 students were chosen using purposive sampling to participate in this study. The research was carried out utilizing a descriptive survey research approach, with questionnaires serving as the major data collection tool. The study's findings revealed that students struggle with reviewing, summarizing and synthesizing passages, commenting, constructing sentences, paraphrasing, cohesion between paragraphs and sentences, and grammatical issues. Based on these data, it is vital for teachers to take into consideration students' writing issues, and the explanation of extra writing sessions is among the pedagogical implications.
