Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan tentang penulisan notasi musik menggunakan software sibelius yang dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif dalam mengembangkan bahan ajar pada mata pelajaran Seni Budaya pada tingkat Sekolah Menengah. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah artistik “Art Practice Based Research” dengan metode deskripsi analitis dan beberapa pelatihan kepada guru Seni Budaya di Kabupaten Solok menggunakan modul yang telah dibuat dan dipelajari kurang lebih tiga pertemuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan software sibelius sangat efektif untuk menuliskan notasi musik dan mengembangkan bahan ajar berupa aransemen lagu sederhana dalam format ansambel alat musik sekolah seperti pianika, rekorder, perkusi, dan sebagainya.
Randai is a traditional Minangkabau art that presents a combination of literary, dance and music. The essence of randai presentation is as a medium to convey kaba (folklore) through gurindam or poems sung, and galombang (dance) originating from Minangkabau martial arts movements. Randai performance is good for 2 to 3 hours, depending on the kaba or folklore delivered. This article is prepared based on the research of randai performances in the context of tourism in Kawasan Seribu Rumah Gadang Jorong Lubuk, Jaya Solok Selatan District, West Sumatra. Research on this was carried out using qualitative methods. The data was collected through literature study, observation, interviews, and recording. As a tourist attraction, the randai shown is randai which presents compaction of Bujang Selamat folklore, which begins with talempong music as an introduction to anak randai to the performance arena, followed by sambah, plate dance, galombang, compaction of bujang salamat folklore, then ends with sambah. All randai offerings as tourist attractions last for 20 to 25 minutes.
Purpose: This study aims to determine the comparison of policies between Indonesia and Malaysia. his comparison is needed to develop Indonesian education policies so that the quality of Indonesian education policies in the future will be better. Research methodology: The research method uses a literature study because it compares education policies. Especially character education between Indonesia and Malaysia. Results: The results showed that Indonesia’s education policies were still categorized as low because it was based on the four components being compared, namely character education goals, character education strategies, education structures, and education management. Limitations: This study focuses on four components of education policy, particularly character education. There are other parts that can be discussed by further research, namely other parts of Education policy, and can also be compared with other countries. Contribution: This research can be a consideration for Indonesian policyholders, especially the aspect of character education because it can improve the quality of Indonesian education.
Gandang Sarunai is now also performed in alek kawin and batagak panghulu festivals. Gandang Sarunai in this case, is seen by Keammer as an expression of how this traditional music is now valued pragmatically by its community, meaning that that the traditional music is now practiced for obtaining both material and moral benefits. In other words, Gandang Sarunai is now valued as more an expression of an adaptive culture than an expressive culture of the community of the Alam Surambi Sugai Pagu. Gandang Sarunai performances in the events like alek kawin and/or batagak panghulu festivals can be seen as a reflection of the community's efforts to strengthen their identity (clan, family), to raise their social status and to improve the community solidarity.
This study aims to determine students’ interest inmusical art learning and what factors that influence students' interest in musical art learning in SMA Negeri 1 Sumatra Barat.This type of studywas a qualitative with using a descriptive approach. The main instrument in this study was the researcher. It was assisted by supporting instruments such as stationery and camera. Techniques of Data collection were carried out by taking literature study, observation and interview. The analysis process was startedby analyzing data and seleceting selectively, then the data were displayed in a descriptive form.The result shows that the lack of students’ interest occur inmusical art learning in SMAN Sumatra Barat. The cultural art teacher in the learning process does not understand the learning material and the teaching method is not variative. The Factors that influence students' interest in learning at SMAN 1Sumatra Barat in the subject of musical art are internal and external factors.Keywords: Interests, learning, cultural arts
