Abstract. The research is motivated by the problem of learning activities in children, namely listening to language. The purpose of this study is to improve listening skills through the use of picture story books for children aged 5-6 years.The type of research used is classroom action research which consists cycle is carried out in three meetings. With the procedures used, planning, action, observation and reflection. The subjects in this study were 13 students who were in class B in Riyadhul Ulfah Kindergarten. The data collection tool used is an observation sheet to determine the treatment strategy in improving listening skills through the use of picture storybooks as media. With data analysis that is the percentage. This research has implications as a teacher’s effort to improve children’s listening skills through the use of picture story books as media. The results showed an increase in children’s listening skills through the use picture story books media for children aged 5-6 years from the results of cycle I, cycle II, and cycle III with the strategis media, class settings, activity time, interaction patterns and teacher instructions. Abstrak. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran pada anak, yaitu kemampuan bahasa. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menyimak melalui penggunaan media buku cerita bergambar pada anak usia 5-6 tahun. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (Action Research Clasroom) yang terdiri dari tiga siklus, dimana setiap siklusnya dilaksanakan sebanyak tiga kali pertemuan. Dengan prosedur yang digunakan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 13 orang anak didik yang merupakan kelas B di TK Riyadhul Ulfah. Alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi untuk mengetahui kemampuan menyimak anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi perlakuan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menyimak melalui penggunaan media buku cerita bergambar. Dengan analisis data yaitu persentase. Penelitian ini berimplikasi sebagai upaya guru dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menyimak anak melalui penggunaan media buku cerita bergambar. Hasil penelitian menunjukan adanya peningkatan kemampuan menyimak anak melalui penggunaan media buku cerita bergambar anak usia 5-6 tahun dari hasil pra siklus, siklus I, siklus II, dan siklus III.
Teachers in ECE (Early Childhood Education) should have the knowledge and skills in guiding children when playing blocks, but this is not shared by most PAUD teachers in Indonesia. Therefore, this study develops a block play model that refers to the PKPK model from Hirsch and Dodge with the adjustment of conditions in Indonesia. This research is a research and development (R&D) that seeks to develop, refine (re-construct), test, and validate Masnipal-models that are easy for teachers to use and effectively develop children's creativity. This study begins with testing the PKPK model to a group of subjects to obtain data about the ability of teachers to understand and apply the model. After revisions and improvements, the model of reconstruction results was further tested. Research subjects were PAUD teachers in Cianjur (n = 42) and Bandung (n = 78). Data collection uses observation and peer assessment techniques and data analysis uses descriptive analysis techniques. The novelty of this study is the resulting Masnipal-model that facilitates PAUD teachers in Indonesia in guiding children to develop creativity through block play.
Salah satu cara mengembangkan kreativitas anak usia dini melalui permainan konstruktif (balok). Indonesia masih jarang dikembangkan teknik permainan balok. Beberapa teknik dari luar sulit diaplikasikan guru PAUD di Indonesia. Model Pengembangan Kreativitas Permainan Konstruktif (PKPK) dikembangkan tahun 2008 dan direkonstruksi 2019 pada skenario dan tahapan disesuaikan jenis balok untuk mempermudah guru dan telah diuji efektivitasnya. Penelitian menguji apakah pelatihan model PKPK berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan keterampilan guru membimbing siswa bermain. Penelitian menggunakan pre-experimental dengan one-group pretest-posttest design. Alat pengumpul data menggunakan observasi dan ceklis. Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan pelatihan berkontribusi meningkatkan keterampilan guru dalam: (a) menguasai prosedur, skenario, tahapan bermain; (b) melaksanakan kegiatan bimbingan bermain secara menarik dan menyenangkan; (c) kemudahan menggunakan alat main dan pengaturan waktu, (d) kemampuan menilai siswa. Peningkatan tersebut diikuti partisipasi siswa dan efektivitas bermain. Hasil penelitian berimplikasi bagi guru untuk mengikuti pelatihan sebelum mengaplikasikan model PKPK di lembaga PAUD.
