This paper describes an advanced adaptive fuel control that was developed and tested successfully on a Garrett Corporation YT76 single-shaft turboprop engine. The express purpose of the development was to achieve engine operation without adjustment of the control when using a wide variety of fuels and to achieve operation with unfiltered fuel when contamination in accordance with military aircraft requirements.
