In today's MEA (ASEAN economic community) era, the need to be more innovative in designing and marketing any products are necessary to those who run UMKM (Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah). However, one particular factor that fully hinders them is the holistic marketing processes besides capital, technology, and human resources. To further implement the solution, this paper concentrates on both UMKM Makmur Asri and Tani Makmur (in Tulungrejo, Trucuk, Bojonegoro), the manufacturer of tortilla snack, as the firms facing the mentioned trouble. Located far from the surrounding main roads, their location is by chance hard to reach. For the reason of distant constraint to customers, one better strategy is to apply the use of online shop and introduce mcommerce model. Thus, by intensive training and mentoring, this iBM community service fills them in with all the details of the two combinations of marketing and English for business. It is with big hope that through applying this method can help the firms and their product be locally and internationally consumed and much more so.Key words: marketing, online store, m-commerce, tortilla corn. AbstrakDalam menyongsong era MEA, para pelaku UMKM di Indonesia dituntut untuk semakin inovatif dalam mendesain dan memasarkan produk mereka. Kendala yang selama ini mereka hadapi, selain modal, teknologi rendah, dan kurangnya kualitas dan kuantitas SDM, adalah proses pemasaran yang belum menyeluruh. UMKM Makmur Asri dan Tani Makmur sebagai penghasil snack jagung tortilla di Desa Tulungrejo, Kecamatan Trucuk, Kabupaten Bojonegoro adalah contoh UMKM yang menghadapi permasalahan tersebut. Karena letaknya yang jauh dari jalan raya maka produk jagung ini sulit dijangkau oleh konsumen. Salah satu strategi yang dilakukan adalah melalui model pemasaran berbasis online shop (toko online) dan pengenalan terhadap model mcommerce. Pelatihan dan pendampingan pun dilakukan sebagai upaya meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kualitas SDM di bidang pemasaran dan penguasaan bahasa asing (Bahasa Inggris) dalam media. Hasil yang diharapkan adalah adanya pemasaran produk yang tidak hanya terbatas pada area lokal melainkan juga dikenal secara nasional dan bahkan internasional.Kata kunci: pemasaran, toko online, m-commerce, jagung tortilla.
This community service aims to give some solutions for marketing problems of UMKM in Kecamatan Kedungpring, Kabupaten Lamongan, Jawa Timur. Partners face issues related to promotions, especially promotions through social media. Therefore, training about online marketing is given to partners. Partners are able to practice online marketing well, also improve online marketing techniques knowledge indicated by pre-test and post-test given by team.AbstrakPengabdian masyarakat melalui program PKM ini bertujuan untuk membantu memberikan solusi bagi persoalan yang dihadapi mitra, dalam hal ini persoalan pemasaran untuk menambah omzet UMKM di Kecamatan Kedungpring, Kabupaten Lamongan, Jawa Timur. Solusi yang ditawarkan dalam bentuk pelatihan pemasaran online melalui media sosial. Indikator keberhasilan dalam program ini adalah mitra yang dilatih mampu menjelaskan pemasaran online melalui media sosial dengan baik. Pelatihan terkait teknik-teknik berpromosi melalui media sosial juga akan dilakukan agar pengetahuan mitra semakin bertambah. Selain itu disediakan lembar kerja untuk memonitor aktivitas mitra dan mengukur efektivitas penyampaian materi dari tim kepada mitra. Luaran dari program ini adalah artikel yang dipublikasikan di jurnal nasional atau prosiding.
Background: Along with the development of digital media tools, the direction of marketing shifts from conventional to social media-oriented. However, this is not easily conducted by SME business circles. Many of them do not have high literacy, do not have IT coding skills. In addition, capitalizing as well as maintaining a website are costly for them. This fact encourages the SMEs to look at another opportunity, namely the use of social media. However, it proves that these SMEs have not utilized the use of social media with persuasive advertisements. Objective: This community service activity purposes to assist the SMEs in Surabaya creating their social media advertisements using the persuasion concept-elaboration likelihood model (ELM) to solve the problems in marketing. Methods: The methods used are (1) discussion; (2) training and assisting in making advertisements; (4) evaluating/monitoring. As a result of this community service activity, the SMEs that have been assisted are able to create persuasive social media advertisements and can improve their marketing performance. Results: These MSME owners are able to create advertisements using the ELM method and determine the performance of these advertisements. Conclusion: SME owners can create advertisements using the ELM method during the training period, conduct independent evaluations of advertisements, the sales performance of these SMEs tends to increase compared to the previous by creating advertisements using the ELM method, practical modules are provided so that making advertisements using same method can be practiced for current and future needs.
Background: This community service is a follow up of community service in Kecamatan Sumberrejo in 2017 and is expected to be the first step to preparing the launching of the bamboo tourism village in Kecamatan Sumberrejo. Purpose: This community service aims to provide solutions for problems faced by partners, preparation for launching and planning the right promotional mix to attract consumers’ interest in the newly formed educational tourism in Kecamatan Sumberrejo. Method: Assistance by the team to partners through counseling, training, and practical assistance. In addition, worksheets have been provided to monitor partner activities and measure the effectiveness of the training. Result: The pre-test and post-test results illustrate an increase in partner knowledge regarding the promotion mix. Conclusion: The material delivered by the team was able to be well understood by partners and partners’ knowledge and interest in marketing through the promotion mix increased.
