Bot as it is popularly called is an inherent attributes of botnet tool. Botnet is a group of malicious tools acting as an entity. Furthermore, history has it that the aim of what gave rise to botnet was the idea to simplify the method of message exchange within networking platform. However, this has led to several botnet tools ravaging the server environments in recent times. The working principle of these botnet tools is to get client systems that are vulnerable and thereafter, steal valuable credentials. This work is part of a comprehensive research work into botnet detection mechanism but, on this paper it primarily look at how botnet as threat tool began, the trend since inception and as well as few approaches that have been used to curb it.
Botnet is one of the numerous attacks ravaging the networking environment. Its approach is said to be brutal and dangerous to network infrastructures as well as client systems. Since the introduction of botnet, different design methods have been employed to solve the divergent approach but the method of taking over servers and client systems is unabated. To solve this, we first identify Mpack, ICEpack and Fiesta as enhanced IRC tool. The analysis of its role in data exchange using OSI model was carried out. This further gave the needed proposal to the development of a High level architecture representing the structural mechanism and the defensive mechanism within network server so as to control the botnet trend. Finally, the architecture was designed to respond in a proactive state when scanning and synergizing the double data verification modules in an encapsulation manner within server system.
Student performance has several elements, but most significant is the role the information and communication technology plays. The performance of students in modern education is quite different from the traditional method used over the past decades. ICT is a revolution and has indeed bridged the divided world of information into single entity; it has further enhanced the resourcefulness of students in various academic institutions around the globe. This study is a fact finding into the role of ICT as it relates to students performance in modern education and the traditional method of research in time past. University of Benin (Uniben) Post Graduate Students were used to solicit information required for the research decision. From the findings, it was observed that there is a significant difference between the users and non users of ICT facilities on academic activities. Tables 1, 2, 3 and 4 as tabulated below shows Osagie et al.; AJPAS, 5(2): 1-9, 2019; Article no.AJPAS.51301 2 the positive impact of ICT on student performance. The testing, t-test was 1.96 at 0.05 significance level, while the t-value was 4.677 and this to a large degree shows clear distinction to viability of the impact of ICT on the positive performance on students.
Short Research Article
The viability of a society depends largely on the learning outcome of its teenagers. Raising them can be challenging because modern society is embolden with information communication technology (ICT) that do not only isolate them from peers but create mental disorder in them. ICT is not an isolated entity rather an embodiment of deferent technologies that act as an entity to delivering and channeling information. To ascertain it tendency in primary school and its impact on adolescent, this paper reviewed the concept of ICT and carried out a survey on its usage among adolescent. The survey questionnaire was structured on five points scale and the feedbacks from hundred respondents were analyzed with Statistical package for social sciences (SPSS). From the findings, it was showed that the tendency of ICT by both private and government primary school is indeed poor and its impact on adolescent is on the downward trend. The study offered some recommendations including the need for government to carry out a holistic review of the primary schools curriculum so as to accommodate ICT usage.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
