This paper describes a method for calculating overhead transmission line parameters using the available technology. The line geometry, i.e. conductor heights above ground and phase spacing, is collected using the LiDAR technology. The soil resistivity measurements are extracted from an airborne electromagnetic survey (HEM). Accurate line parameters are essential for real-time operation of interconnected power systems.
