Free Open Access Medical Education (FOAMed) is successfully utilized by medical professionals worldwide to improve educational equity and networking opportunities. One such novel FOAMed tool is a Twitter-based journal club, #IPNAJC. The summary and infographics of selected pediatric nephrology article(s) are published on the IPNAJC website and emailed to members. Two separate, live, one-hour sessions are conducted in major international time zones in English and Spanish. Authors and experts are invited to the discussion. After #IPNAJC, a wrap-up is distributed across the IPNAJC membership via an email¸ for access on demand. An online, anonymous 11-question survey was distributed to IPNA members by email between Nov–Dec 2021. The response rate was 3.5 % (n=67). Most responses were from Asia (33%) and physicians (72%). Participants learned about #IPNAJC via email (69%), social media (17%), and colleagues (14%). Approximately 42% participated live; the remaining interacted with the materials asynchronously. The median (IQR) overall quality was 4 (3–5), the quality of summaries was 4 (4–5), VA usefulness was 5 (5), and ease of participation in the discussion was 5 (3–5). Analysis of Twitter chat revealed that 24 people participated in the live #IPNAJC, generating 424 tweets and 1.048 million impressions (median (IQR)). Most respondents perceived that the #IPNAJC and its FOAMed resources were of good quality. This survey study reinforces that FOAMed resources have a broad geographical reach, are accessed by users at all career stages, and can be utilized during and after a social media event.

In the setting of education, examinations are generally well-thought-out of the method of assessment. These are not only the powerful ways of improving learning but also assessing whatever learners have learned. But when these examinations are disturbing to teaching and learning, what circumstance will be emerged in this educational setting? In Bangladesh, some schools and colleges are governmentally selected as the centres of various public examinations. During these examinations, teaching and learning activities of those educational institutions were closed down for imposing section 144 in 400 yards around the centres. For this reason, it is difficult to complete the syllabus of all subjects and the teaching and learning process of those institutions are hampered. The manuscript intended to focus on the degree of level of the problem created by interrupted teaching and learning of those center schools and colleges during public examinations in Bangladesh. It also aimed at finding out the actual solution of the problem. The research was conducted in mixed method prioritizing quantitative method. Three instruments of data collection were used: Questionnaire-survey among 157 participants concerned in teaching and learning directly and indirectly, Focus Group Discussion (FGD) among 8 educational administrators, and Content Analysis (CA) of existing knowledge or remaining relevant data from various local newspapers: daily star, daily observer, daily Prothom Alo, etc. The manuscript also recommend a solution that government should construct distinct exam-complex (multi-storied building) in each sub-district in the countries like Bangladesh. Finally, the research work is significant for examination management of Bangladesh and that of other countries like Bangladesh.
The world continues to see large refugee flows, and the challenges comprising these population migrations are anticipated to become increasingly complicated as a result of rising social, economic, ethnic and especially religious conflicts. In the south-east Asia, this problem has become acute with Rohingya refugees. Northern Rakhine State in Myanmar is predominantly Buddhist and authoritarian despite a majority Arakan Muslim population and a minority Rakhine Buddhist population. Exclusionary citizenship laws and military actions against Arakanese Muslims, often known as Rohingyas, have forced them to depart Myanmar and seek refuge in Bangladesh. This circumstance pictured the inhuman role of the material world to the persecuted Rohingya refugees. The manuscript aimed at delineating Myanmar’s long-term oppressive and illegal strategy of dislocating Rohingya, and the attitude of the host-state Bangladesh, the regional and global superpowers, and instruments in this respect. The short article is designed in accordance with the qualitative method where information has been collected from different sources predominantly from scholarly articles. The manuscript has also suggested that the buzzword ”Rohingya issue” can be solved only if the Sino-Indian mutual understanding takes liberal steps with neutral support towards Bangladesh and Myanmar including asylum-seeker Rohingya refugees
