The main goal of this study was to determine effect of self-efficacy on performance of football players in Erzurum city. The present research was practical in terms of purpose and correlation in term of its nature. The statistical population of research was Ataturk University boys students (18-22 yrs old) unfamiliar to football scissors kick, in 2018. So, 52 participants were selected randomly based on Morgan Table from 60 volunteers. In this study, two questionnaires of self-efficacy and Charbonneau sport performance were used to collect data. To test hypotheses, regression test was used. In this research, SPSS 20 software was used in all calculations and tests. The results showed that self-efficacy play a significant role in learning of scissors kick. Self-efficacy is one of the most important characteristics of a successful athlete.
The study aims to examine the digital literacy levels of students in the faculty of sports sciences. In the study group; there are 394 students (105 female and 289 male) studying in the departments of Physical Education and Sports Teaching, Sports Management, Coaching and Recreation of the Faculty of Sport Sciences at Atatürk University in the 2018-2019 academic year. "Digital Literacy Scale (DLS) is a scale, which was developed by Ng (2012) and translated into Turkish by Hamutoğlu, Güngören, Uyanık, and Erdoğan (2017) and it is composed of 17 items and 4 factors (attitude, technique, cognitive and social). Nonparametric tests (Kruskal Wallis, Mann-Whitney U) were used to analyse the data of the study. According to the findings; digital literacy levels of the participating students differ significantly in social sub-dimension in respect of gender variation. In the social sub-dimension of digital literacy scale, digital literacy levels of male students were higher than female students.
The main purpose of this study was to find the effect of psychological hardiness on performance of scissors kick in football. The present research was practical in terms of purpose and correlation in term of nature. The statistical population of research was Ataturk University female students (18-24 yrs old) unfamiliar to football scissors kick, in 2018. So, 28 participants were selected randomly based on Morgan Table from 30 vulenteers. In this study, two quastionnars of hardiness and Charbonneau sport performance were used to collect data. To test hypotheses, regression test was used. In this research, SPSS 20 software was used in all calculations and tests. The results showed that psychological hardiness play a significant role on performance of scissors kick. Bu çalışmanın amacı spor bilimleri fakültelerinde öğrenim gören öğrencilerin bireysel yenilik ve yaşam boyu öğrenme eğilimi düzeylerini incelemek ve aralarındaki ilişkiyi belirlemektir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2021-2022 eğitim öğretim yılında Türkiye’nin doğu bölgesinde bulunan bir kamu üniversitenin spor bilimleri fakültesinde öğrenim görmekte olan 336 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Veri toplama aracı olarak; “Bireysel Yenilikçilik Düzeyi Ölçeği” ve “Yaşam Boyu Öğrenme Eğilimleri Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde betimsel istatistikler (standart sapma, aritmetik ortalama), parametrik testlerden t-testi ve ANOVA ve LSD testinden yararlanılmıştır. İki ölçek arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemede ise Spearman's rho korelasyon analizi yapılmıştır. Bireysel yenilikçilik ölçeğinin risk alma alt boyutunda erkek katılımcıların kadın katılımcılara oranla daha yüksek ortalamalara sahip oldukları tespit edilmiştir. Öğrencilerin bireysel yenilikçilik düzeyleri ile yaşam boyu öğrenme eğilimleri arasında pozitif yönde, yüksek düzeyde (r=.72; p
The COVID-19 pandemic process has been associated with particularly strong declines in the academic, social, and psychological conditions of university students. Concerns about COVID-19 have often been correlated with worsening well-being. Besides the burdens most university students face, student-athletes have also been exposed to these psycho-social consequences. Therefore, it is important to examine the protective factors against psychological adjustment skills. Concepts such as resilience and endurance, which are defined as one's ability to react to difficulties, can also be protective factors. With the ongoing pandemic process, resilience and endurance in university students who are athletes and non-athletes have not yet been examined in this context. For this reason, this study aims to examine the mediator role of resilience in the relationship between mental well-being, COVID-19 anxiety, and burnout. 778 university students, 412 athletes and 366 non-athletes, studying in different departments of the university participated in the study. As data collection tools, COVID-19 related anxiety scale, short psychological resilience scale, Warwick-Edinburgh mental well-being scale short form and maslach burnout scale student form were used. The relationships between the anxiety, burnout, mental well-being and psychological resilience levels of the athletes and non-athletes were determined by the Pearson product moment correlation coefficient. Structural equation modeling was used in data analysis to determine the direct and indirect predictive effects between variables. During the research process, all analyzes were made using SPSS 22.00 and AMOS package programs. The results showed that resilience was negatively related to COVID-19 anxiety and burnout, and positively related to mental well-being in both groups. Resilience mediated significant effects on COVID-19 anxiety, burnout, and mental well-being for students in both groups.
