Nutrition is an important factor in maintaining bone health, such as calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, protein, and iron. Sea cucumber is one of sea creatures that has plenty of nutrition which is for the body. Objective : To compare the nutrition of Susu sea cucumber, Gosok sea cucumber, Gamat sea cucumber, and packaged milk so they can be used as alternative source in bone health. Methods : The in vitro test using three samples of sea cucumber and three different kinds of packaged milk for kids. The test was performed to five nutritions e.g. calcium, magnesium, phospor, protein, and iron. The analysis results used independent sample test methode and anova test. Results : Sea cucumbers can meet the number of daily nutritional needs. Calcium in sea cucumbers is higher than that of milk (95% CI:-1969.85354-4094.26021). Its phosphorus is higher than that in milk (95% CI:-224.68925). Its magnesium is higher than that in milk (95% CI: 1499.67724-3243.20276). Its protein is higher than that in milk (95% CI: 18.71876-67.70790). Its iron is higher than that in milk (95% CI: 25.08204-54.45796). Conclusion : The nutrition in sea cucumber is greater than that in packaged milk. Susu sea cucumber is better than that in the other two types. Sea cucumber could be used as alternative source for bone health.
Background: Estrogen deficiency in menopausal women induces bone loss and makes them prone to pathological fractures. Age, body mass index (BMI), parental history of osteoporosis, and smoking tobacco also increase bone loss and pathological fractures. This study aims to determine whether age, BMI, parental history of osteoporosis, and smoking tobacco can predict pathological fractures in menopausal women. Moreover, the relationship between the early detection of osteoporosis with pathological fracture incidence will also be determined. Methods: This is an analytic observational epidemiological research with a cross-sectional retrospective design that involved 40 menopausal women. The data were collected from the patients' medical records 2020 in Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic, Asri Medical Center (AMC) Muhammadiyah Hospital, Yogyakarta. The predictive factors for pathological fracture (age, BMI, parental history, smoking tobacco) were analyzed by using Fisher's exact test and the relationship between osteoporosis early detection, including bone mineral density (BMD) value, parathyroid hormone (PTH) levels, osteocalcin levels, and osteoporosis self-assessment tool for Asians (OSTA) score, with pathological fractures were investigated by using the chi-square test. Result: Age has a significant relationship with the occurrence of pathological fractures in menopausal women (OR = 6.6, 95% CI: 1.128-8.604, p = 0.042), while BMI, parental history of osteoporosis, and smoking tobacco did not have a significant relationship with pathological fractures (p > 0.05). Early detection of BMD and PTH was also found to have a significant relationship to fracture incidence. Additionally, menopausal women with high PTH levels and osteoporosis BMD values are eight times and four times greater risk of acquiring fractures than menopausal women with normal BMD values and PTH levels. Conclusion: Age can be a predictive factor for pathological fractures, and the early detection of PTH and BMD is related to the occurrence of pathological fractures in menopausal women.

Aim
To determine the effect of secretome hypoxia mesenchymal stem cells (SH-MSCs) on the relative gene expression of hypoxia inducible factor-1a (HIF-1a) and basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF) in accelerating histomorphometric repair of tendon to bone interface healing in rats acute rotator cuff tear (RCT) model.
Methods
This is experimental research with posttest control group design. Thirty-male Wistar rats were divided into five treatment
groups: healthy group and rotator cuff reconstruction group included four groups: SH-MSCs W2 (the treatment group was given a SH-MSCs 0.5 mL and terminated at weeks 2), NaCl W2 (the control vehicle group was assigned NaCl 0.5 mL and terminated at weeks 2), SH-MSCs W8 (the treatment group was given a SHMSCs 0.5 mL and terminated at weeks 8), and NaCl W8 (the control vehicle group was given NaCl 0.5 mL and terminated at weeks 8). All the rats were terminated on day termination and HIF-1a and bFGF gene expression were analysed using qRT-PCR.
Results
SH-MSCs significantly increased the HIF-1a and bFGF gene expression than the NaCl group even in week 2 and week 8.
The highest increased gene expression of HIF-1a and bFGF was on week 8.
Conclusion
SH-MSCs are important in the healing repair process of the tendon-to-bone interface in acute RCT model rats through
increasing gene expression of HIF-1α and bFGF.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
