Globalization being one of the most popular terms of recent years is considered as a factor changing the operation styles of the companies. Companies and universities opened up to the world with the globalization and as a result of it, they had the opportunity of being a world brand. Now, some companies have affiliated companies in almost every country. Well, if we think about time and place difference how do these companies lead the affiliated companies in various locations of the world? This question resulted in the new leadership approach, virtual leadership. The process of distance learning beginning with newspaper advertisement appears as virtual learning now. A number of companies and universities provide distance learning classes and in-service training in virtual platform via Internet. These trainings provided independently from time and space are conducted in a country and worldwide sometimes. If we consider individuals in different time and environments as virtual teams, dealing with these virtual teams is the duty of virtual leader. The purpose of this study is to examine virtual leadership perception of distance learning teams. Three trivets are in question for distance learning teams. The first one is the academicians lecturing the second one is the students and the third one is coordinator and technical support team. Perceptions of virtual leader of the said three groups were examined individually in this study. The major findings are about who the virtual leader is and what properties virtual leader should bear. The virtual leader is, anyone inside the team for academicians, manager for technical support team and teacher for students. The most important ability for virtual leader is communication skills. In this study, there are different perspectives about virtual leader and leadership at distance education teams.
Human brain is two hemispheres filled with secrets. What happens in the brain has always a research source and mystery for human. Some researchers associating human behaviors with the subconscious reported that if they reached to subconscious they could make the human demonstrate the desired behaviors. Researchers thinking like that have become the essential advisors for the advertisement sector trying to direct people to consumption especially. While the advertisement sector tries to make people buy things that don't need it also brought new concepts in the science world. The most known and emphasized one are subliminal messages. The purpose of this study is to examine use of subliminal messages for education from the point of view of students Computer and Instructional Technologies Education (CEIT). Since subliminal messages are dealt in terms of information technologies generally, opinions of CEIT senior class students dominating this field were referred. Interview technique one of the qualitative research methods was used in the study. In this study 42 students participated in the research. According to findings of the study, CEIT students expressed an opinion that subliminal messages could be beneficial for the education. It was found out that the most preferred method for education materials to be prepared is cartoon for students. It was expressed that 25. square technique was the most proper method as the subliminal method.
Planning is a concept that takes place all throughout one's life. People plan their education, work, private lives, and careers; in other words, they plan their entire lives to achieve specific desired outcomes. Not only do individuals plan which schools they will attend, but also where they should live and which jobs they should take. Similar to life in general, one's educational career also is executed according to a plan. Although the educational planning was not based on a written text until the 1960s, the notion of education planning has existed since education itself. Technological inventions have been benefited from. Although it is seen, the differences of development of technology in every age, has not neglected to integrate the field of education. Technology has continued its development from duplicators and typewriters of yesterday to the smart boards and tablet computers of today. It is clear that future technological innovations will continue to find a place in education as they appear. The purpose of this study is to examine the planning of EIN (Education IT Network) integration via document analysis, part of the FATIH Project, to determine what problems exist in order not only to make a better educational plan, but also to emphasize the importance of having a good plan so that one may make proper use of EIN in lessons. Additionally, five ITC (Information Technology Counseling) teachers were interviewed in the study. These teachers were asked to share their ideas about the development of EIN and its integration into the subjects. The results indicate that EIN is a rapidly growing and developing application. It is additionally believed that EIN has reached such a level that can complete with the similar international applications.
