Abstract:The present study reveals the current status of women physicists of Southern Punjab, which is an undeveloped area of Pakistan. To flourish as a growing nation, Pakistani setup needs a change in society, where women are given equal rights in the field of education. This study will also give a brief description of factors due to which female students face hurdles for higher education in physics.Key words: status, women, physics, Southern Punjab, Pakistan.Résumé : Cette étude révèle le statut actuel des femmes physiciennes au Punjab du sud, une région sous-développée du Pakistan. Pour prospérer dans son développement comme nation, le Pakistan a besoin d'un changement social où on reconnaît aux femmes des droits égaux en éducation. Cette étude donne aussi une brève description des facteurs responsables des obstacles que doivent surmonter les femmes qui cherchent à poursuivre des études supérieures.
