PRF application to the saphenous nerve for eight minutes showed remarkable amount of patient satisfaction. Application of PRF for the second time could be recommended if it shows some benefit after the sixth month. But none of our patients needed a second application of PRF after six months period.

Addition of ketamine and clonidine to ropivacaine 0.2% 0.75 ml.kg(-1), when administered caudally in children, prolongs the duration of postoperative analgesia. The need for subsequent postoperative analgesic is also reduced. Caudal analgesia attenuates or allows partial changes to postoperative cortisol, insulin or blood glucose responses to surgery.

Addition of fentanyl 25 microg to hyperbaric ropivacaine 18 mg for spinal anesthesia in patients undergoing TURP may significantly improve the quality and prolong the duration of analgesia, without causing a substantial increase in the frequency of major side-effects.
