The use of social networking sites and other mobile applications have been growing intensively. Several researches indicated that it is one of the factors that impact the relationship maintenance between one another. It is highly desirable for all citizens to have a good interpersonal communication to maintain and develop further relationships. Bad communication skills may have harmed the interpersonal relationships. With technology advancing, Smartphone’s play an important part in people’s lives. It’s easy to see people talking, slipping, or even playing on their phones in public places. Certainly, when people are concentrating on the small screens in hands, they won’t care about their plights. So the probability of an accident is higher than before. Some countries even set up the “mobile phone sidewalk” to reduce potential hazards. But that is just palliatives. People needed to find a solution that “describe the annoying situation and further remind people to put their phones down, and get talking to each other again.”In response to this request, a new word “phubbing” was created.
By the very time parents are trying to protect their children’s from the very atrocious situations that their children’s were going through. These deteriorating situations involve one of the gruesome acts of bullying. The paper tries to define this act of bullying in relation to the mental health of children’s affected with bullying. How their mental, social, physical and cognitive development has been affected. The paper also tries to explore various measures that can help children’s to cope up with such difficult problem.
Background: Bullying in schools is the problem and an issue of every nation around the globe. Researchers around the globe pointed out an abundance of negative impacts on students involved in bullying and require the focus and attention of adults to address and resolve bullying incidents among students. Aim: This research aimed to study the impact of bullying on gender of secondary school students in Palestine. Methods: The present mixed-method study was directed on samples randomly and total number of samples was 827 students (the male was 388 and female was 439). Bullying was assessed by using Bully Victim Determination Scale, developed by Piskin & Ayas (2007). Result: After analyzing data by using the Mann Whitney U test, it was found that male students are more bullied than females. Conclusion: The study concluded that girls and boys are vulnerable to bullying. But the boys are found to be more bullied than girls.
