The endek industry produces low-biodegradable wastewater, which is very difficult to treat using the biological methods. For this reason, this study was aimed at improving the quality of wastewater for endek textile wastewater using the combination of ozone oxidation process as pretreatment and anoxic-aerobic activated sludge. The ozone reactor volume amounted to 3L and the applied ozone dose equaled 0.05 mg/minute. The BOD/COD of endek wastewater increased to 0.38 after ozone treatment and the application of anoxic-aerobic activated sludge treatment. The anoxic-aerobic experiments were conducted in batch process and consisted of activated sludge. Conventional anoxic-aerobic treatment can reach color and COD removal of 30% and 32%, respectively, without pre-treatment. The ozone pretreatment can increase color and COD removal up to 76.6% and 86.9%, respectively. On the basis of the effluent standards of textile wastewater quality, COD, BOD 5 , and total ammonia (NH 3-N) parameters have met the quality standards.
Ultisol soil is a less fertile soil characterized by low soil fertility rate, high acidity with pH<5, high Al saturation. This land has an area of 25% of the total land area of Indonesia. Riau Island is one of the provinces dominated by Ultisol land, so many land is not productive to use as agricultural land. This research was conducted to look at the characteristics of red soil in the agricultural land in Batam City after mixed with organic material in this case which is used is goat manure and chicken manure. From the results of research, the addition of goat manure and chicken manure that is incubated for 30 days can already give changes to the physical and chemical character of the soil, such as soil becoming more loose, having higher water content, increasing soil C organic, Nitorgen, P2O5, K, Mg, and Mn, able to reduce Fe levels in the soil. The addition of chicken manure can increase the available of Phosphate, gives K, Mg, and Mn higher than compared mixing blanko with goat manure. The addition of goat manure can increase the total of C organic and N in the soil is higher than chicken manure.
This article was created with the aim of seeing the extent of the identity of Riau Islands through the art of dance known in the community and trying to revive the identity of traditional dance through documentation of the dance movement itself. Thus, the problem in this research is focused on traditional dance movements that are indeed the identity of Riau Islands identifiers, namely malay dance movements. This research was conducted by exploring the roots of the dance from art actors directly through interviews and documenting them. Through the collection of dance movement information is then documented so that it can be seen or read by all people. So that traditional dance as the identity of Riau Islands is well documented. Based on the results of the rersponden assessment, 61% stated that knowing and knowing the traditional dance of Riau Islands, the rest stated that less knowing the traditional dance. Art performances can only be enjoyed on certain occasions. To overcome this, one way to bring traditional dance identity to life is to gather information related to traditional dances and document them in the form of photos, videos and books, increasing the frequency of dance performances.
The purpose of this paper is to provide information related to waste technology processing. The study was conducted using a literature review technique. This review provides an in-depth discussion of the impact and the recent breakthrough in improving problems arising from the generation and disposal of soiled diapers. Various technologies were highlighted, especially the safer use and cleaner technology, such as biodegradation and composting to maximizing recycle process at a cheaper cost. Moreover, pyrolysis shows an opportunity to improve the efficiency of the recycling process used diapers. Finally, recycling is achievable with an economic incentive if the costs of a series of complicated processes are lower than the value of the end product. Therefore, the best technology for recycling becomes a big consideration. The consideration of which process to use may vary from national and industrial outlook in terms of rate of return, total cost, and environmental. The challenge of recycling is to reduce the cost of waste treatment while providing high-quality final products and need to focus on developing practical and environmentally friendly recovery methods.
