Forests are the source of community life. In recent years the problem of natural disasters in forest fires (Kerhutla) in two provinces in Kalimantan and Sumatra has been very detrimental to the state and local communities. Disasters are events that can be social, economic and political. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that forest fires compared to 2015 and 2019, the largest forest and land burning was in 2015, which is the largest forest and burning area of around 2.6 million hectares. Meanwhile, in 2019 forest and land fires will reach 328,722 hectares. On average, forest fires are caused by humans such as land clearing and illegal logging, land clearing usually occurs every year, but this time the forest fires are organized. they are irresponsible parties who deliberately ride local communities to intentionally commit forest fires. In this study, research is analyzed through state-centric and communal analysis and market-based dynamics. The result is when viewed from the state-centric that the State through its governmental institutions has issued several policies at the national level to the local level while these countries are invited to participate in international cooperation to reduce and minimize fires. If viewed from a communal analysis that forest fires are not free from the surrounding culture. This is evidenced by the tradition claimed every year to open land for settlements. Apart from illegal logging and when viewed from a Market Based analysis that forest fires are precisely caused by companies that play to their advantage. In the case of forest and land fires, there is actually an interest to be achieved from forest and land fires. There is some data that results that there is political competition by the local political elite so that the forest fires occur. Forest fires will continue if the government cannot provide strict laws to irresponsible parties. The state must be present as a tool to control its citizens so as not to burn forests and land that harms the country.
This paper discusses the rise of student social movements in response to the presence of a crisis of public legitimacy triggered by the failure of the government to carry out the functions of the state and failure to realize the welfare of society. The climax when the government and the parliament agreed to revise the rules regarding the authority of the Corruption Eradication Commission (Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi, KPK) which was considered by many elements of civil society as weakening the KPK. This issue became the dominant discourse and triggered the presence of other issues and demands. The focus of this study is the #GejayanCalling movement initiated by a number of students in Yogyakarta who successfully attracted the sympathy and support of thousands of students and various elements of civil society to take to the streets. This paper uses qualitative research methods with a case study approach. The data collection is done through primary data through interviews with key informants and secondary data through literature studies. The results of the study revealed that the #GejayanCalling movement became massive and significant through the consolidation and political compromise undertaken by students in managing the movement to respond to public unrest marked by a crisis of public legitimacy towards the government. The protest was able to attract thousands of students because of the emphasis on the issue by overriding the role of certain figures, actors or organizations. Emphasis on issues rather than actors becomes an effective strategy in creating shared goals and collective action. Besides that, the use of social media as a repertoire of movements in framing issues is very contributing to strengthen demonstration.
This study aims to describe related forecasting of New National Capital (IKN) development in sustainable development. This research uses a literature study that focuses on media and reports. The following are CNN Indonesia, Tempo, Jawapos, and reports from Bappenas, State Secretariat, and DPR. Go.id. The results of this study indicate that the IKN development forecast is formulated for smart transportation, smart grid, and green building and the development process must meet the principles of justice, participation, and gender equality (especially for women) which are important foundations in sustainable development. In addition, there are several challenges faced by IKN in the future based on the findings in the mass media. First, integration is needed based on basic conditions where all design and construction must be based on current topographic and geological conditions. Second, land grading and all infrastructure plans must refer to drainage plans to prevent flood disasters. Third, coordination of underground infrastructure is required. According to Takehiro, one thing to pay attention to is securing the right of way (ROW) area, especially for manholes and larger structures such as sewer lift pumps. Fourth, it is necessary to prepare space to ensure the accessibility of future expansion. IKN development must also pay attention to economic, social, and ecological impacts. This is because development tends to only think about infrastructure and large-scale land clearing with economic interests, which fail.
