The Wigner-Ville Distribution and its smoothed versions, i.e., Choi-Williams and gaussian kernels, are evaluated for propulsion systeni diagnostics. The approach is intended for off-line kernel design by using the ambiguity domain to select the appropriate gaussian kernel. The features produced by the Wigner-Ville Distribution and its smoothed versions correlate remarkably well with documented failure indications. The selection of the kernel on the other hand is very subjective for our unstructured data.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
