This paper presents linearity improvement of power amplifiers (PAs) with envelope tracking (ET) modulators. ET modulators vary the supply voltage of RF power amplifiers to optimize the efficiency, but potentially degrade the linearity of the system. However, ET has shown to improve both efficiency and linearity under certain conditions. This work presents an analytical study of the PA linearity with supply voltage modulation.
