Myocarditis is an inflammatory cardiomyopathy with a diverse range of both infective and non-infective causes. It is an important cause of dilated cardiomyopathy worldwide, with a variable clinical course ranging from a mild self-limiting illness to fulminant cardiogenic shock requiring mechanical circulatory support and cardiac transplantation. Here, we describe a case of acute myocarditis secondary toCampylobacter jejuniinfection in a man in his 50s who presented with an acute coronary syndrome following a recent gastrointestinal illness.
