The COVID-19 pandemic posed a challenge for all confined populations, dealing with their home resources and suffering changes in their psychological well-being. The aim of this paper is to analyze the relationship between home conditions (i.e., having children, square meters of the house and square meters of the terrace or similar) and psychological well-being, and to test whether this relationship is mediated by Internet addiction and nostalgia. The sample was composed of 1509 people, aged between 18 to 78 years (67.6% women). Structural Equations Models and 2 × 2 ANOVAs were analyzed. It was found that better home conditions mean greater psychological well-being, and that this relationship is partially mediated, in a negative sense, by Internet addiction and nostalgia, especially after day 45 of confinement and with greater intensity in women. These results provide evidence about how psychological well-being can be preserved during a confinement situation, which may be useful for planning healthy strategies in similar circumstances in the future.
El presente artículo analiza las categorías que definen el bailarín como principal elemento de significación o signo para la construcción de la semiótica de la danza partiendo de la revisión documental. Dentro de un paradigma plural que integra el análisis cualitativo y la investigación basada en el arte, y desde la metodología observacional elaboramos un instrumento de análisis ad hoc con el objetivo de estudiar la relación entre movimiento y espacio y el carácter generador de significado dentro del proceso de comunicación. Entre los resultados más destacados resaltamos categorizar los signos que delimitan este elemento a modo descriptivo y de herramienta de análisis. Estos permiten concluir cómo, de manera principal pero no única, este elemento y la organización o conformación de sus signos, generan significado dentro del discurso de las obras de danza y son una aportación a su semiótica como un conjunto de elementos de creación con significado.
El objetivo de este trabajo ha sido analizar los motivos hacia la actividad físico-deportiva de una muestra representativa de estudiantes de la Universidad de Burgos, y conocer la relación de estos con el servicio deportivo de la Universidad. 366 estudiantes (127 hombres y 239 mujeres), con una edad media de 21.29 años, respondieron la escala validada sobre motivos hacia la actividad física Goal Content Exercise Questionnaire (GCEQ), y un cuestionario sobre niveles de actividad físico-deportiva y participación en las actividades propuestas por el servicio deportivo de la universidad. A partir de la interpretación de los datos se determinó que el 48.6% de los estudiantes realiza, al menos, una actividad físico-deportiva semanalmente, y que el motivo principal es el cuidado de salud seguido del desarrollo de las habilidades, no encontrando motivos acerca de aspectos sociales. Menos de una cuarta parte del alumnado ha utilizado el servicio deportivo universitario. El aspecto peor valorado con respecto a este servicio fue la compatibilidad de horarios. Se concluye que el alumnado universitario manifiesta bajos niveles de actividad física, tanto en el ámbito formativo como fuera de él. Los motivos de estos hacia la actividad físico-deportiva no muestran grandes diferencias con respecto a otros colectivos o grupos de edad. Abstract. This study aims to analyze the motivations toward physical activity of a representative sample of students of Universidad de Burgos, and their relationship with the university sports service. 366 students (127 men and 239 women), average aged 21.29 years old, answered the validated scale about motives towards physical activity Goal Content Exercise Questionnaire (GCEQ), and other questionnaire about physical activity levels and participation on the university sports service activities. Our empirical analysis determined that 48.6% of the students perform at least one physical activity weekly, being the main motive health care followed by the development of the skills. Social aspects were not found to be significant. Less than a quarter of the students have used the university sports service. The lowest ranked aspect was compatibility of schedules. It is concluded that university students show low levels of physical activity, both in the college and outside it. The motives towards the physical exercise don’t show differences regarding other groups or age groups.
The confinement caused by the COVID-19 pandemic led to changes in people’s lifestyles, which in part provided an opportunity to develop habits at home. The aims were: (1) to verify if the psychological well-being (PWB) of people related to healthy habits, and if physical activity (PA) and diet mediated this relationship; (2) to test if there were differences in this model of relationships between women and men; (3) to analyze if there were differences in healthy habits, PA, diet, and PWB depending on gender; (4) to test if there were differences in healthy habits, PA, diet, and PWB depending on living area; (5) and to assess if there were interaction effects of gender and living area in healthy habits, PA, diet, and PWB. Using a cross-sectional design, we obtained a sample of 1509 participants (18–78 years, 1020 women). Diet and PA fully mediated the relationship between PWB and healthy habits, and women developed more healthy habits than men, whereas men had higher levels of PA and PWB. We also found that people who lived in rural areas during confinement practiced more PA and had lower PWB levels than those who lived in urban areas. These results can help in the planning of strategies to promote healthy habits.
