Different methods of epistemology create different philosophical views. None of the nursing theories have employed the revelational epistemology and the philosophical views of Abrahamic religions. According to Abrahamic religions, the universe and human being have been created based on God's affection. Human being should deserve the position of God's representative on earth after achieving all ethical merits. Humans have willpower to shape their destiny by choosing manner of their relationship with God, people, themselves and the whole universe. They can adopt the right behavior by giving a divine color to their thoughts and intentions and thus attain peace and serenity in their heart. Health means having a sound heart (calm spirit with a sense of hope and love, security and happiness) that is achievable through faith and piety. Moral vices lead to diseases. Human beings are able to purge their inside (heart) through establishing a relationship with God and then take actions to reform the outside world. The worlds are run by God's will based on prudence and mercy. All events happen with God's authorization, and human beings have to respond to them. Nurses should try to recognize the patient's spiritual response to illness that can appear as symptoms of an unsound heart (fear, sadness, disappointment, anger, jealousy, cruelty, grudge, suspicion, etc.) due to the pains caused by illness and then alleviate the patient's suffering by appropriate approaches. Nurses help the patient to achieve the sound heart by hope in divine mercy and love, and they help the patient see good in any evil and relieve their fear and sadness by viewing their illness positively and then attain the status of calm, satisfaction, peace and serenity in their heart and being content with the divine fate. By invitation to religious morality, the model leads the patients to spiritual health.
Aim: Holistic nursing provide postural care by assessing clients and patients' bio-psycho-socio-spiritual reactions, which could harm spiritual health due to interruption in communications with God, self, people and nature. The purpose of this study is designing and validating clients and patients' spiritual nursing diagnosis of the Sound Heart Model. Methods: This is a "developmental research" with Sound Heart Model approach, which was done on students at the faculty of nursing and hospitalized patients of Baqiyatallah in 2016. The inductive propositions were extracted by using conventional content analysis, through interviews with clients and patients, their families and clinical nurses. Two focus group were used, besides the individual interviews to approve the validity of data. The religious evidence, were investigated systematically and deductively. The spiritual diagnosis based on religious evidence were compared with propositions stated by the participants, the list of nursing diagnosis of NANDA, and spiritual health assessment questionnaire (25 cases). 76 spiritual diagnosis were classified into four communicational domains. Applicability was assessed through two focused group discussions with the comments of 20 experienced nurses. Results: safety from divine wisdom, neglecting and forgetfulness of God in healthy clients, and the frustration of God's mercy with fear, suspicion, future anxiety, sadness of losing health in patients, were the most important spiritual nursing diagnoses. Disruption of communication with God causes disturbance in other person's communication. Conclusion:The Sound Heart Nursing Care Model provide postural care at all levels of prevention. Failure to pay attention to the spiritual problems affects physical, mental, and social health.
Background and Objective: Sleep as a sign of the God wisdom and power, is the agent of stability and tranquility. Sleep has a spiritual dimension. Sincere dreams are the continuation of prophecy and guidance of the God. This study aimed to explain the dream theory from the perspective of Islam. Materials and Methods: This evolutionary study has focused on these questions: “what is the process of dreaming in Islam? Can people control their dreams”? Islamic evidences were taken from the verses and narrations related to the words “soul, sleep, dream and death”, using al-Mu’ayyim, authentic Shi’a commentary books, Bihar al-Anwar, Kofi principles, the Book of Resurrection and life after death. The religious and scientific evidences were analyzed based on the Walker and Event content analysis method. Dream theory was extracted from religious evidence. Results: Based on "revelation epistemology" during sleep, the ‘template of a higher universe’ travels to the unseen world and divine guidance can be provided. People with spiritual health) (owners of the Sound heart) can control the type of their dream, and solve problems by the guidance of God. In the perspective of Islam, there are three types of dreams: sometimes is divine guidance and glory from God, sometimes is sorrow from the devil, and sometimes are conflicts of daily living or past events. Conclusion: Regarding the spiritual aspect of sleep and its deep impact on physical and mental health, it is essential for medical staff to become familiar with dream theory from the perspective of Islam. They should explain to patients and family members the importance and impact of sleep on the acceleration of tissue repair and the treatment of anxiety and depression. To those who are willing to enjoy the divine guidance through the dream, they can teach the Islamic method of dream control.
