The Czech spa has a rich history and is based on the use of natural medicinal resources, with a significant share of direct medical care coupled with a comprehensive approach to treatment admissions. The trends set in Czech spas are affected more and more by foreign clients, which compensates for shortfalls of the domestic clientele. Russian guests are one of the most important groups of the Czech spa clientele. The article discusses the development of trends in Czech spas, with an accent on the Russian spa clientele. Trend analysis was carried out using the method of scenarios, where opinions of experts are compared with the results of surveys.
The article deals with the entrepreneurs providing tourist services especially in tour operators (TO) and travel agencies (TA) in the Moravian-Silesian Region. The topic of trends in tourism is an up-to-date topic not only from the scientific but also in practical terms. On the basis of the survey, the objectives of the research are to identify selected tourism trends in the offer of TO/TA influencing their activities in the tourism market in the Moravian-Silesian Region. One of the main research questions was to explore whether professional behavior and corresponding ratio of price/quality belong to significant factors influencing purchasing a tour from TO/TA offer. The primary data was acquired from the selected tourism subjects, with the focus of the research and was analyzed using SPSS software. According to the survey are significant factors influencing purchasing a tour from TO/TA offer service from the perspective of the TO/TA next to the offer knowledge and ability to provide as much information as possible, belongs to professional behavior and corresponding ratio of price/quality and TO/TA are focused on searching new experiences, sightseeing tourism, senior tourism, active and adventure trips, discovering unique places, youth tourism, etc.
Modern tourism trends have a distinctly global character. They include the use of online tourism service platforms and the sharing of services based on sharing economy. Governments and municipalities create regulatory measures to operate in accordance with the destination’s municipal, financial, security, and tourism interests to ensure transparency and a level playing field for entrepreneurship. The paper deals with this global trend in the field of the accommodation services through the Airbnb platform in the Czech Republic and in the Silesian Moravian Region, in the use and provision of tourist accommodation services and identification of the impact on tourism development and tourist attendance the destination, within the project Trends of tourism in the Moravian-Silesian Region, using the methods of marketing research. The results declare that shared economy platforms in the field of accommodation have a place in the modern economic system, they put competitive pressure on tourism service providers, the offer expands for the consumers and traditional service providers force to move to innovative concepts. The hoteliers want to offer the creation of standards that the sharing accommodation providers should follow and public administration and city representatives want to clearly describe the duties for each accommodation provider and regulate accommodation through Airbnb.
Research background: The current conditions of globalization come to a necessity of flexible adaptation and efficient use of the resources. The companies compete with each other and try to attract customers through an attractive offer that determine the global trends. Purpose of the article: The aim of the article is to examine the introduction of new gastronomic trends and innovative solutions into the offer of restaurants in the Czech Republic and their acceptance on the customer side. Methods: The article examines the opinion about the product, marketing and organizational innovations, their economic success and attractiveness of the offer to clients. Marketing research based on the online questionnaire survey between providers of the gastronomic services and the customers is used. Explored was the relationship between the qualitative factors of the service and the repeated visit by consumers from the perspective of catering service providers. The Chi quadrate test of independence is used for the evaluation of the research question and two hypotheses as well. The method of comparison including the results of previous research and the synthesis of research conclusions are used. Findings & Value added: The identification of new trends can be an inspiration for entrepreneurs in the development of new products and in the introduction of service innovations. The definition of the significant gastronomic trends of Czech gastronomic companies can be used for gastronomy business and can bring a higher customer satisfaction and tourist attendance for the establishments and destination.
The development of tourism trends significantly influences the tourist attractiveness of the destination ad increases tourist attendance. The paper presents the results of the research Tourist Trends in the Moravian Silesian Region (MSR), which focused on examining trends in accommodation and catering facilities, as a significant part of tourism services. The research area included trends and innovations in the field of services and the reaction of the offer of these services due to the change in the preferences of customers and visitors to these facilities. The main goal of the paper was to identify new trends in the offer of accommodation and catering services and to determine factors affecting repeat visit or purchase. Quantitative research using a questionnaire survey and qualitative research using structured interviews with business representatives in 2017 and 2020 was used and the results were compared. The opinions of visitors and representatives of the business on service quality indicators were compared. The dependence of service quality indicators related to repeat visits or service purchases was examined using the chi-squared test of independence. Evaluations of some service quality indicators did not confirm their dependence on repeat visits/purchases. Representatives of accommodation and catering services have a common opinion on the importance of specific indicators of service quality for repeat guest visits. The survey showed changes in the offer and quality of services of accommodation and catering companies in the Moravian Silesian Region due to changing preferences of the customers. The formulation of new trends in this part of the offer of tourism can serve as an inspiration for local entrepreneurs in the region and lead them to develop new products and introduce new services, to increase their business success and also to increase tourist attendance in the region.
