The formulation of the problem in this study is the influence of the mindmapping learning model on the learning outcomes of class X students in geography in SMA 2 Kikim Selatan. This study aims to determine whether or not there is an influence of mind mapping learning models on class X student learning outcomes in geography subjects at SMA Negeri 2 Kikim Selatan. The research method used is a quantitative approach to the method of experimentation with data collection techniques obtained using observation, tests, and documentation. The average value of student learning outcomes in the experimental class can be categorized well that is 76.45 by using a mind mapping model, while the average value of learning outcomes of the control class by not using a mind mapping model can be categorized sufficiently with the average student learning outcomes is 61 , 29. Based on calculations, obtained t arithmetic> t table = 6.369> 1.683 ie t arithmetic = 6.369 and t table = 1.68 then accept the hypothesis (ha) which means "There is an influence of mind mapping learning model on class X student learning outcomes in geography subjects at 02 Kikim Selatan High School.
Conventional learning are given by lecturer, make the students passive and just receive the new knowledge without a meaningful thingking process. Therefore it is required an instructional design, which invites students to understand the knowledge of their own efforts through Reciprocal Teaching approach. The method which used in this study is the research design method that include: preparing for the experiment, experimenting in the classroom, and retrospective analysis. Learning is designed for two meetings. Data collecting is made by documentation, field notes, and tests. The results is Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT) for the material integration factor based on Reciprocal Teaching approach.
This study aims to determine the application of the speed reading method to reading skills in Indonesian language learning for fifth grade students at SD Negeri 31 Palembang. The type of research used by researchers is descriptive with a quantitative approach, the design used in this study is pre-exsperimental (non-designs) with the type of “pre-test and post-test one group design”, namely research using only one class without any comparison class or control class. The population and sample of this study are the population of all students from class I to class VI of SD Negeri 31 Palembang, totaling 251 people and the sample is class V, totaling 20 people. Data was collected using observation and also tests, the data collected was analyzed using pretest and posttest. The results of the study showed that the results of reading ability before being taught using speed reading reached the high category. So it can be concluded that the speed reading method can be used to improve reading skills, some of the advantages are that it can activate students during the learning process, attract students’ attention and facilitate student understanding. Lecturers’ work performance is one of the most crucial factors in the attainment of success of the university’s vision. Thus, extra attempts need to be done in enhancing factors that influence the work performance. The objective of this research is to determine the effect of pedagogy competence and work motivation toward lecturers’ work performance. The research is conducted using the quantitave approach. Research samples selected as much as 172 permanent lecturers of Universitas Persatuan Guru Republik Indonesia (UPGRI) Palembang. Foundation research data are collected through test and questionnaire. Further, data collected are analyzed using t-test and path analysis. Based on the research, it is found that: (1) there is direct positive effect of the pedagogy competence toward work performance; (2) there is direct positive effect of the work motivation toward work performance;(3) there is direct positive effect of the pedagogy competence toward work motivation. The conclusion is that work motivation needs to be firstly improved than the pedagogy competence so as to level up the work performance of UPGRI Palembang lecturers. The interpretation of statistics is not easy for students to understand. A number of students have trouble learning statistics. This is due to the fact that most of the statistical books in circulation are abstract. It is therefore important to progress in students through the learning process by providing experience, reflection and action. Ethnomathematicalbased Reflective Learning is one of the lessons that can train thinking skills through the study of cultural values. The research objective was to generate Student Worksheets using ethnomatematics reflective learning based on statistical material that is true and realistic for students. This analysis approach is focused on methods of development research. Student Worksheets is validated by specialist lecturers in mathematics education and peer lecturers via a questionnaire. The practicality of the Student Worksheets was evaluated on the basis of a questionnaire and the results of student work. The results have shown that Student Worksheets is valid and realistic.
