This research aimed to know both the direct and indirect contribution of cargo loading and discharging time to the Loss and gain of coal mediated by load quantity. The process of data collecting was done through secondary data taken from the loading port of Jetty in Samarinda Port and the discharging port of Muara Berau, East Kalimantan. During 2020, there was an average loss of coal cargo of as much as 56 percent. This was caused by the long waiting discharge time during the loading and discharging. Another problem was the long waiting discharge time, as many Mother Vessels, tugboats, and barges entered the Jetty port and made a density there. The research method used path analysis with the loading-discharging unit as the source of secondary data on the determining factors of load quantity and the Loss and gain of coal cargo. This research indicated that one of the dominant factors was waiting discharge time, as a problem frequently occurred when vessels would berth in the port for discharging activities. The key finding was the necessity for the competent party to pay special attention to the factors contributing to vessels’ waiting discharge time in the port by providing services as maximally as possible through human resources improvement in the form of training.
Cadets at Nusantara Maritime Academy Banjarmasin are expected to have a strong command of the English language. They will be in a better position to succeed professionally in the future if they can speak clearly and fluently in English. This research aimed to explore the educational content that ought to be taught based on a needs analysis. This research used a mixed-method approach, consisting of a questionnaire and an interview. Cadets and lecturers from the Language Center at Nusantara Maritime Academy in Banjarmasin participated in this research. According to the study's conclusions, the course's instructional materials must be written in English and include sections on administrative abilities, communication skills, and the processes for using tools aboard ships. More opportunities for the cadets to improve their speaking and pronunciation are required. To make the English lesson more enjoyable, genuine materials and forms of media entertainment, such as songs, videos, and images, should be provided as part of the course.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk tanggung jawab PT. Meratus Line cabang Banjarmasin dalam menangani klaim pada kerusakan barang saat proses bongkar muat. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif yaitu sebagai prosedur penelitian yang menghasilkan data deskriptif berupa kata-kata tertulis atau lisan dari orang-orang dan perilaku yang diamati dengan tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk tanggung jawab PT. Meratus Line cabang Banjarmasin jika terjadi kesakan pada saat proses bongkar muat. Hasil pembahasan yang ditemukan yaitu pelaksanaan tanggung jawab yang dilakukan oleh PT. Meratus Line cabang Banjarmasin tidak semata-mata harus diganti secara keseluruhan. Terdapat pembatasan atas pemberian tanggung jawab yang dilakukan terkait dengan ganti rugi, karena PT. Meratus Line cabang Banjarmasin hanya bertanggung jawab pada saat proses, jika dapat membuktikan tidak bersalah, maka perusahaan akan dibebaskan dari tanggung jawab untuk mengganti kerugian
Penelitian ini bertolak dari anggapan dasar bahwa tingginya Motivasi Taruna pada angkatan 2019 memilih Program Studi Ketatalaksanaaan Pelayaran Niaga dan Kepelabuhan. Subjek penelitian adalah Taruna angkatan 2019 dengan jumlah 20 orang dan yang menjadi objek penelitian adalah Motivasi Taruna dalam Memilih Program Program Studi Ketatalaksanaaan Pelayaran Niaga dan Kepelabuhan Akademi Maritim Nusantara Banjarmasin, serta faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi nya. Hasil penelitian ternyata ditemukan bahwa Motivasi Taruna dalam memilih Program Studi (66%) dengan kategori tinggi, hasil tersebut didapat dari 4 indikator. Adapun faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi Motivasi Taruna dalam memilih Program Studi seperti: Persepsi Taruna, koleksi buku, keluarga, teman sejawat, latar belakang pendidikan dan kesempatan kerja. Dari 6 indikator tersebut hanya 5 indikator yang memberikan pengaruh terhadap tumbuhnya motivasi Taruna dalam memilih program studi.
