Abstract-The article is a response to rapid uptake of online transactions that encompasses the secure transactions that comply with the Shariah principles. The algorithm in the articles proposed the inclusion of Intermediate Shariah Transaction Party (ISTP) as an intermediary for communications between merchant and customers before the transactions can be concluded. The design facilitates the efficient and effective e-commerce transaction process to alleviate three common shortcomings in e-commerce transactions namely riba', gharar and the validity and the legality of e-commerce transactions from Shariah point of view without compromising the security aspects of the transactions. The designs were refined and presented before by the Islamic scholars before the final design was agreed on. This invention will become a major breakthrough in Shariah compliance ecommerce transactions in order to serve 2.1 billion Muslims Ummah worldwide.
Abstract-Healthcare is a community service sector and has been delivering its services for the betterment of civic health since its establishment at communal level. For working efficiently and effectively, this sector profoundly relies on correct and complete health information of people and a proficient integrated healthcare knowledge management information system (HKMIS) to manage this information. The performance of Healthcare organizations has significantly augmented by inception of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) in HKMIS in developed countries, but is yet to exhibit its full potential in developing countries specifically those with huge populations like Pakistan. An exploratory qualitative research methodology was adopted to conduct this study. The purpose and objective of this study was to determine and investigate the internal and external factors that influence the performance of HKMIS by performing SWOT analysis on two of the largest public-sector healthcare organizations of Pakistan. The findings of this study will certainly help authorities to devise methods of improvement in Pakistani HKMIS eventually paving ways towards a better and improved healthcare in the future.Keywords-Healthcare; knowledge management; healthcare knowledge management information system; information and communications technology; SWOT analysis; internal and external factors; healthcare organizations
The Kingdome of Saudi Arabia (KSA) and its growth objective is to be a major player in the global economy and moving toward a knowledge-based economy. To achieve its objectives, the private sector in various fields in KSA needs to be in line with country's ambitious goal; Knowledge Management (KM) handling and readiness for the foreseen customer demand need to be in line with goals. This study presents a critical review to evaluate existing KM practice in the private sector in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) to see the readiness of this sector to play an integral role of knowledge-based economy and support nation's growth strategy. The paper will examine current states in term of how knowledge management is practiced in the country. This paper addressed various aspects of knowledge management ranges from the need of implementing knowledge management systems to the added value by deploying such systems. In addition, the review was discuss if the private sector is heading in the right direction, and coherent with KSA strategic goal by examining a sample of four major firms in private sector. The outcome of the sample reflected that the private sector is harmonized with KSA objective.
This project proposed a system design for retrieving Quranic texts and any knowledge that derived or cites al-Quran. The objectives were to survey the websites offering access to Quranic texts on their structure and linkages, and to propose a system design for retrieving Quranic texts. A total of 125 websites offering access to Quranic texts were examined. Findings revealed that the websites offer texts and translation, recitation, excerpt ofexegesis, and link to other websites consisting ofnews, events, and related topics. A standard structure was not implemented by these websites. The proposed system design focuses on texts, translation, recitation, exegesis, al-Hadith, its topics and themes like stories of the prophets and places mentioned in al-Quran, and search feature.
