Students’ low interest in History is a common problem to many teachers. Prezi was hypothesized to increase students’ interest in learning History. This study aims to develop a Prezi-based program through a 4D model for History subjects taught to the 10th graders (first graders of High School). It employed observation and questionnaire methods. Participants of this study were students of SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Jember, SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Jember, and SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Jember. The data analysis involved learning material, media, and design validation. Results show that the first stage design was 81%, categorized as good; while the second stage design was 92%, categorized as very good. Results of the first stage material expert validation obtained 62%m categorized as poor; and the second validation obtained 77%, categorized as good. These findings indicate that Prezi-based media development is feasible and effective as a medium for learning History.
Technology-based learning media is the recommended media in the 2013 curriculum. The used facilitates students to learn to find, solve problems and be able to draw their own conclusions. Media is expected to facilitate students to think critically, act creatively and productively, and collaboratively. This research is an ex post facto study which aims to identify and analyze the use of instructional media by vocational school history educators. The research sample was 3 educators and 30 vocational school students in Banyuwangi district. The data collection technique in this research used a questionnaire. The analysis of questionnaires from educators showed that 66.7% of educators used power point media and 33.3% used student worksheets. The results of previous research related to the critical thinking skills of students who were taught using power points learning media and worksheets found that (1) 53.3% of students were able to ask a question and were able to formulate problems; (2) 56% of students were able to come up with new ideas; 3) 76.7% of students were able to collect and assess information; (4) 63.3% of students were able to draw conclusions and provide solutions; (5) 46.7% of students think openly to the existing possibilities; (6) 63.3% of students were able to distinguish facts and opinions; (7) 76.7% of students were able to provide solutions to a problem. The results of this research will be considered for further research on the effect of Edmodo media and schoology on critical thinking skills
Based on the Regulation of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Number 22 of 2016 concerning Basic and Secondary Education Process Standards that the learning process can be carried out by utilizing information and communication technology to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of learning. In accordance with the era of industrial revolution and increasingly sophisticated technological developments, requires that educators can integrate technology with the content of learning materials. The results of previous studies indicate that most teachers in Jember Regency are considered not creative, only 30 percent of teachers are creative and literate in information technology and as many as 70 percent of teachers are not creative, they still teach with conventional techniques, without using information technology. The purpose of this study is to analyze the technological content knowledge of historical educators in Jember Regency. This type of research is descriptive research. Data collection methods in this study are questionnaire. The questionnaire technique carried out by researchers was by distributing questionnaires or questionnaires to educators using a self assessment, with the help of Statistical Package for the Social Si (SPSS) version 22 program. Based on the results of descriptive statistics the level of technological content knowledge history educators in Jember Regency scored (M = 3.29, SD = 0, 417), 60.6% of Technological content knowledge history educators in Kabupaten Jember are at a good level. And as many as 27.3% are at a sufficient level. Then at a low level of 12.1%, while at a very low level and very good at 0%. So, it can be concluded that the level of technological historical knowledge content in Jember Regency is at a good level.
The purpose of this Research is to review the contribution level and the significance of the appreciation of history education, the internalization of Pancasila ideology and the internalization of religious values on creating the nationalism attitude. This research uses two approaches, which are quantitative and qualitative with concurrent embedded strategy. The primary in this research design is quantitative and qualitative as the secondary. The result of this research indicates the appreciation of history education, the internalization of Pancasila and the internalization of religious values. The importance of these roles can be discovered from 78.2% of contribution coefficient. The appreciation of history education contributes 27.84%, the internalization of Pancasila produces 14.39%, and the internalization of religious values brings 35.97%. The role of religious values on the appreciation of the building of nationalism attitude has a huge impact, bigger than the appreciation of history education and the internalization of Pancasila. Those three variables have role in the building of nationalism attitude which utilize as input material, that improving the student's nationalism attitude can be conducted by enhancing the appreciation of history education, the internalization of Pancasila and the internalization of religious values about the life of society, nationhood, and statehood.
