The present study determined the effects of instructional models and spatial intelligence on students' mathematics learning outcomes after controlling for their initial competence. The study was conducted at Senior High School (SHS) 6 Kendari, Indonesia using a quasi-experimental method designed by level 2×2. Samples consisted of 40 students selected randomly. The data were analyzed using either two-way ANCOVA at the 0.05 significance level. The results showed that mathematics learning outcome of students who were taught by integrative instruction was higher than those taught by direct instruction after controlling the initial competency. There is an interaction effect between the instructional model and spatial intelligence on mathematics learning outcome. Learning outcome of students who have high spatial intelligence and taught by integrative instruction was higher than those taught by direct instruction, and learning outcome of students who have low spatial intelligence and taught by integrative instruction was lower than those taught by direct instruction.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kedisiplinan belajar siswa kelas V di SDN 55/I Sridadi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif jenis studi kasus dengan subjek yaitu siswa kelas V SDN 55/I Sridadi. Dalam mengumpulkan data, peneliti menggunakan metode observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah reduksi data, display data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Untuk menguji keabsahan data digunakan triangulasi metode. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kedisiplinan belajar SDN 55/I Sridadi sudah baik. Hal ini terlihat dari kedisiplinan siswa selama mengikuti peraturan yang diberikan guru maupun sekolah, yaitu; (1) tidak membuat suara gaduh, (2) tidak mengganggu siswa lain dan berjalan-jalan saat pelajaran berlangsung, (3) keluar masuk kelas tanpa ijin dan membaca materi yang sesuai dengan pelajaran yang sedang berlangsung, (4) menggunakan sepatu saat pelajaran berlangsung. Selain itu guru melakukan beberapa upaya untuk menanamkan kedisiplinan belajar kepada siswa, antara lain; (1) memberi keteladanan kepada siswa, (2) melaksanakan peraturan kelas, (3) memberi nasehat dan peringatan kepada siswa yang melanggar, dan (4) memberi hukuman atau sanksi kepada siswa yang melanggar. This study examines students' mathematical reasoning based on Discovery learning models in terms of gender. This research was conducted at the SMPN 3 Kendari with quasi-experimental methods involving two classes with different treatments. The simple random technique is used to determine the class of research. Class VII. 6 (experimental class) consisted of 15 women and 11 men, while class VII.9 (control class) consisted of 15 men and 7 women. The instrument used was a student's mathematical reasoning ability test consisting of four items in the form of essays tested. Data processing using 2-way ANOVA with further tests using Scheffe. The conclusion obtained is that students are given a learning discovery model, the reasoning ability of male students excels in the ability to give mathematical problems verbally and in writing provided in the form of logical diagrams that contain existing data, perform mathematical manipulation related to the problem, and ensure validity as an argument, whereas women excel in the ability to draw conclusions based on relationships between mathematical concepts. The discovery learning model can increase students' mathematical penalties and overcome gender discussions.
Abstrak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peran kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam implementasi pendidikan karakter. Selain itu juga untuk mengetahui faktor pendukung dan faktor penghambat dalam implementasi pendidikan karakter. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi partisipasi pasif, wawancara terpimpin, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis data model Spradley. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa kepala sekolah menjalankan perannya sebagai leader, tampak dari sikap kepala sekolah yang ramah, bertanggung jawab, mendidik, dan merangkul semua warga sekolahnya. Sebagai manager, kepala sekolah memiliki beberapa strategi dan kepala sekolah melibatkan seluruh warga sekolah bahkan kepala sekolah juga turut melibatkan orang tua siswa. Selanjutnya, sebagai supervisor kepala sekolah secara langsung terjun kelapangan, melakukan mentoring terhadap guru-guru melalui program S.I.G, serta melakukan evaluasi langsung disetiap akhir semester dan dibukukan menjadi laporan tahunan kepala sekolah.
