Organizational culture has been characterized as the "glue that holds organizations together". Culture can support linkages between technology adoption and organizational growth; it can be a critical success factor in organization growth strategy and play a crucial role in determining the success or failure of organization. The term 'job satisfaction' is quite frequently used for individual attitudes towards the specific aspects of total work situation. The purpose of the study was to examine the level of Job Satisfaction and Organization Culture in organized retail sector. To examine the relationship between Organizational Culture and Job Satisfaction and to offer suitable suggestions to stake holders for improving the Job Satisfaction and make better Organizational Culture in retail sector. The present study was conducted on 436 employees of organized retail sectors randomly drawn using questionnaire method. The results obtained indicates that the employees were experiencing moderate level of OCTAPACE culture and also moderate level of job satisfaction and dominant culture components includes Openness and Risk taking, Confrontation, Pro-action, Collaboration and Experimentation. It was further explored and found that there is significant positive correlation exists between organizational culture and job satisfaction.
Computer-mediated crowdfunding is deemed as a financial innovation technology used by novice entrepreneurs to solicit funds from other individuals in order to easily gather fundraising for their innovative ideas. However, lack of information on the attributes of crowdfunding platforms coupled with the lack of the knowledge about the techniques of use of these technologies make this fundraising tool not very effective. In this study, we try to elucidate key factors influencing the intention of Tunisian entrepreneurs to adopt crowdfunding platforms as a main tool of fundraising. The research model was based on an extended Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) with the integration of three new variables: perceived risk with service, perceived risk with transaction and plagiarism risk. The results show that, both perceived risk with service, perceived risk with transaction and plagiarism risk have a negative impact on entrepreneurs' use of crowdfunding platforms, while perceived usefulness and perceived trust influence positively entrepreneurs' intention behavior. Perceived risks with crowdfunding service and transaction are affected by financing risk, security concerns and psychological factors, while plagiarism risk is influenced by information concerns and perceived control.
It has been observed and believed that that employee engagement and organizational culture are directly or indirectly linked with organizational performance. Engagement of employees is well aware of the business context, and works with colleagues to improve the performance within the job for the benefit of the organization. Organizational culture is the core competency for an organization. It will impact effectiveness or performance of the individuals, the groups and the whole organization. The purpose of the present study is to find out the level of faculty engagement and perception about the prevailing organizational culture and its relationship with each other. For this purpose 221 faculty members working in various NCAAA accredited University of Saudi Arabia with more than 2 years of working experience were taken as subject using survey method and purposive random sampling techniques were used to collect the data. It has been found that faculty members were revealing high level of employee engagement and moderate level of organizational culture which leads the University to achieve world class NCAAA accreditation. The results were also discussed on the basis of certain demographic variables like gender, level of education etc. and the results were discussed and suggestions were made accordingly.
PurposePsychological and entrepreneurial traits have been widely studied as explicative variables of encouraging entrepreneurial behavior, while their impact on innovative activity is less explored. This study examines whether, how and why psycho-entrepreneurial traits and social networks effect innovativeness among women firm owners.Design/methodology/approachAnalysis of data collected from 304 Saudi women entrepreneurs accompanied by business accelerators provides a wide support with some notable exceptions. We use Structural Equation Modeling technique to estimate how different constructs interact with each other and jointly affect directly or indirectly women's innovativeness behavior in Saudi Arabia.FindingsFindings point out that innovativeness is positively and significantly affected by emotional intelligence, internal locus of control, entrepreneurial alertness and entrepreneurial self-efficacy. The construct of entrepreneurial self-efficacy mediates the relationship between both business and personal networks and innovativeness. However, professional forums and mentors have no significant effect on innovativeness.Research limitations/implicationsThe sample selection is limited to two entrepreneurial support structures especially business accelerator and business incubator. Expanding the context to other support structures can reinforce the implications and provide more valuable results.Practical implicationsThe findings are likely to be of applicability for improving women entrepreneurship by entrepreneurial support structures.Originality/valueThis research is original in the sense that it investigated useful insights of innovativeness among Saudi female entrepreneurs.
