Since the launch of ChatGPT for public use, educators have expressed a variety of concerns about its integration into educational settings. This paper has been written to provide an in-depth examination of these issues and explore the potential use of ChatGPT in educational contexts. Specifically, it aims to (i) present an argument in favor of incorporating ChatGPT into education and (ii) provide educators with a set of strategies and techniques to ensure responsible and successful implementation of ChatGPT in teaching or research. By doing so, this paper aims to promote a more informed discussion around the use of ChatGPT in education.
The term emerging technology (ET) has been frequently used by IT professionals and academics. However, little research has shed light on this term and specified its characteristics and what it means. Therefore, this paper aims to define and conceptualize the characteristics of ET. These characteristics are uncertainty, network effect, unseen social and ethical concerns, cost, limitation to particular countries, and a lack of investigation and research. Several examples of ETs are given to validate these characteristics
The aim of this article is to demonstrate how social media and grounded theory methods can be integrated to constitute a sound research methodology for qualitative researchers. This article conceptualizes three models for using social media for research. Using the observational model, the social media grounded theory (SMGT) methodology was developed. This article provides practical methodological guidance, in a step-by-step approach, to what is referred to as SMGT methodology, which can be applied by researchers. This article provides a unique contribution to qualitative research because no previous research has provided similar conceptual integration and development using social media and grounded theory.
The term BIG DATA has been increasingly used recently. Big data refers to the massive amount of data that are processed and analyzed using sophisticated technology to gain relevant insights that will help top executives with the decision-making process. This study is an attempt to investigate the big data implementation in organizations. The literature review reveals an initial model of indicators that might affect big data implementation. This model was examined and extended by primary data collected from key people (CEO and managers) from ten organizations. The extended model of indicators, which is the result from this research, includes the factors that would affect the success or failure of big data implementation in organizations. The research findings showed the following factors: top management support, organizational change, IT infrastructure, skilled professional, contents (i.e. data), data strategy, data privacy and security.
Since the emergence of the World Wide Web, various payment methods for e-commerce transactions have evolved rapidly over time, including credit cards, debit cards, smart cards, e-cash, e-checks, and e-wallets. In recent years, however, the use of cash-on-delivery (COD) has increased. This differs from all other methods of payment in terms of processing, time and place of payment, and parties involved, as well as security and privacy assurance. The aim of this article was to compare COD to other e-payment methods and to consider the implications of COD for both customers and e-vendors. The article also discusses implications for e-commerce practice and highlights areas for future research.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
