The problem in this research was lack of students' confidence to play the role and the lack of experience of students in the experience of literature which resulted in the ability to appreciate the role play was still not satisfied. One way to tackle the problem was using the role playing method. The research method used was experiment. The population of this research was the fourth semester students of Bahasa Indonesia and Literature Education Program. Research data were obtained through practice test technique. The results showed that there was influence of role playing method on role playing ability in accordance with drama script written by students.

Guidance and counselling as an essential part of education in developing countries is a progressive idea. Nigeria as a fast developing country is quite receptive to innovations in modem education. Lagos State has been pioneering a School Psychology Project for more than a decade. In this paper some of the professional and administrative problems of introducing school psychological services at secondary school level have been brought into focus with particular reference to the problems often confronted in a developing country.

The history of counselling for children can be traced back to the first century BC, when Cicero said: 'We must decide what manner of men we wish to be and what calling in life we would follow'. In Europe, Locke pointed out in 1695: 'He therefore who is about Children should well study their nature and Aptitudes and see, by often trial what turn they easily take'. The 1895 experiments in systematic vocational guidance programmes at the California School of Mechanical Arts, and further developments at Massachusetts and Wisconsin, brought the guidance movement to the year 1902. Perhaps the words 'vocational guidance' were used for the first time only a little later.
