Industrial explosive storage sites are considered to be areas of major risk to industrial, public and occupational safety and security, due to the possibility of major accidents, due to the nature of the explosive substances and due to the serious consequences of an explosion.on these sites. The explosion risk assessment for explosives depots requires an analysis of all possible occurrences of the initiating events that could lead to a potential explosion, followed by an analysis of security measures, all of which are quantified by the development of accident trees and sequences. for each possible trigger. This paper presents the principles of designing a specialized computer application in the field of explosion risk management at explosives depots for civilian use. This application allows to ensure the necessary premises for the elaboration, in objective and specific conditions, of the necessary documents for these types of technical infrastructures, from their design phase and the quantification of the degree of damage on the analyzed locations but also in the areas that are located.
This paper presents a methodology for the analysis, assessment and classification of explosive hazards in the case of landfills, including the quantification of possible effects on neighborhoods and on human health and the environment.
The fulfillment of the obligations provided by the legislation in force regarding the minimization of risks specific to industrial sites for the storage of explosive materials is a desideratum assumed by the management at the highest level. To this end, the paper aims to provide a brief description of the algorithm for assessing the risk of explosion and establishing the optimal solutions to minimize it, starting from the analysis of concrete situations in few locations from Romania.
This paper aims to describe the context and some theoretical approaches needed to analyze and justify the need to implement an occupational safety and health management system (OSHMS) in the National Defense System (NDS). The specialized literature includes a very small number of articles and no concrete approaches regarding OSHM in the field of national defense can be identified. As a result, a brief analysis of the main aspects that can be the subject of much more in-depth studies regarding the specific issue in this field was considered appropriate. The first part of this article includes a description of the specific context of NDS, whose objectives are constantly adapted to the dynamics of economic, geo-political and security factors that are constantly changing. Next, the most eloquent theoretical approaches related to OSHMS and risk management that could be adapted to NDS are mentioned. The final part of this paper is intended to be a proposed structural architecture of OSHMS in NDS. The form proposed by the group of authors is based on a detailed analysis of the literature in the field of OSH corroborated with the experiences acquired throughout the academic and in the military field of the members of the drafting group.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
