Examining the Europeanisation of migration policy and its shaping is important because of the changes that have taken place after joining the European Union. The aim is to analyze the development of migration policy before and after Slovakia's accession to the European Union. At the same time, however, capture the migration concept of Slovakia and its changes that have occurred and thus point to the degree of Europeanization. For this reason, it is possible to speak of Europeanization by means of several theories of Europeanization. As a result, Slovak migration policy has been europeanised, thus adapted to European legislation and institutional adaptation.
