The adoption of fiber reinforced plastics (FRP) to transportation equipment is in progress. Generally, in the design of machines and structures, estimation of allowable stress under repeated load is indispensable for improving reliability. Therefore, in this study, the fatigue life of the woven composite laminated material is evaluated in consideration of the variation by the finite element analysis (FEA) and the evaluation of the cumulative damage. It was possible to evaluate the increase in the degree of fatigue damage for each element in the progress of fatigue damage. It was confirmed that the analysis result was included in the P-S-N curve considering the variation of ±3σ in the experimental result, and that the damage occurrence status of mode Z matched the experimental result and the range of variation.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
