The performance of the supplier is a crucial factor for the success or failure of any company. Rational and effective decision making in terms of the supplier selection process can help the organization to optimize cost and quality functions. The nature of supplier selection processes is generally complex, especially when the company has a large variety of products and vendors. Over the years, several solutions and methods have emerged for addressing the supplier selection problem (SSP). Experience and studies have shown that there is no best way for evaluating and selecting a specific supplier process, but that it varies from one organization to another. The aim of this research is to demonstrate how a multiple attribute decision making approach can be effectively applied for the supplier selection process.
The present study was conducted to investigate the existence of any possible relationship between the cognitive reflection test (CRT), numeracy and academic majors. The statistical population of this study consisted of 117 freshmen studying under the faculties selected from the University of Tabriz. The generalised structural equation modelling technique was employed for data analysis. The research results indicated that CRT and numeracy had positive and significant effects on high school and university program selection. According to the research model and the higher CRT scores of engineering and medicine (two popular majors) than that of other majors, it appears that individuals with higher CRT and numeracy scores are more inclined to get accepted into these programs. Moreover, the relationship between CRT and numeracy was positive and significant, where CRT acted as the cause and numeracy as the effect. However, the reverse need not necessarily be true.

Decision making is a fundamental tool for managers; enable them to make logical decisions in critical situation between various options. This article concentrates mainly on the seller selection problem, or in some cases it also refers to vendor or supplier selection problem (SSP) and demonstrates how multiple attribute decision making (MADM) methods can be effectively used for vendor selection decision in project management procurement processes and supply chain environment. A case study has been carried out within the two different countries (Sweden and Iran) in order to help managers to choose the best alternatives among their preferences, practically.
In human populations and many group-living species, individuals rely on the observation of others to filter and modify their opinions, attitudes, beliefs, or behavior. Behavioral contagion is a form of social influence and refers to the tendency for individuals to copy and imitate certain behavior of others. The aim of this study is to investigate the contagiousness of peer preferences on changes in individual decisions as well as the neural mechanism behind this phenomenon. This is a novel idea, in the literature in experimental economics. I am planning on conducting the experiments to extract and analyze behavioral and electrophysiological (qEEG) responses to stimuli in behavioral game .In particular, we examine whether repeating the dictator (taking) game after observing peer decision affect individual decision-making differently and can modulate an individual’s own (un) fairness preferences.This research will provide important information to policymakers who wish influencing behavior by applying new insights and tools from behavioral science. At the micro-level, social contagion and network effects have a substantial impact on e.g. products of retailers who sell their products through multiple channels, or people who want to donate organs to charity. This research will provide a new understanding of the contagion effect on individuals' decision making.
