DETERMINATION OF DRAINABLE POROSITY IN SOILS WITH DIFFERENT TEXTURAL CLASSIFICATIONS SUMMARY:The drainage porosity, also called macroporosity or effective porosity, represents the proportion of macropores responsible for soil drainage and aeration. The aim of the study was to determine the drainable porosity in the laboratory in soils with different textural classifications (sandy and clayey). The experiment was carried out at the EMBRAPA Cassava Soil Physics Laboratory, located in Cruz das Almas-BA. Both undisturbed samples collected in the 0-0.2 m layer were used with the help of a Uhland-type sampler. The thicker textured soils had higher values of drainable porosity compared to finer textured soils. It was also 1 Doutoranda em Engenharia
