Abstrak: Tulisan ini mengkaji konsep pendidikan humanis dalam pengembangan pendidikan Islam. Dalam kancah pergulatan global dewasa ini kekhawatiran yang muncul adalah hancurnya rasa kemanusiaan dan terkikisnya semangat religius serta kaburnya nilai-nilai kemanusiaan. Globalisasi menjadikan dunia tampak lebih transparan dan terbuka, yang diibaratkan seperti kehidupan desa yang tidak mengenal jarak. Untuk mengantisipasi hal ini, diperlukan pendidikan humanis dalam pengembangan pendidikan Islam. Penulis berkesimpulan bahwa pendidikan humanis dalam bingkai pendidikan Islam, merupakan suatu sistem pemanusiaan manusia yang unik, mandiri, dan kreatif. Dengan kata lain, memandang manusia sebagai makhluk ciptaan Tuhan dengan potensi yang dimilikinya, dan membangun karakter dalam diri manusia yang menghargai martabat manusia sebagai makhluk yang paling sempurna.Abstract: The Concept of Humanistic Education in the Development of Islamic Education.This research examines the concept of humanistic education in the development of Islamic education. What is the main concern of today’s global struggle is the degrading humanity and diminishing the spirit of religiosity and human values. Globalization turns the world to be more transparent and widely open, which is akin to global village without limited by any boundary. To anticipate this situation, humanistic education is urgently required in Islamic education development. The author concludes that humanistic education in the framework of Islamic education is a unique, independent and creative system of humanizing human. In other words, it views humans as creature of God with all potentials, and construct human character that respect human dignity as being the perfect human creatures.
This study aims to (1) describe the position of Islamic Religious Education in the Indonesian National Education System, (2) reveal the condition of Islamic Religious Education (IRE) in North Minahasa, and (3) analyze the accessibility of IRE for Islamic students in non-Muslim elementary schools. A qualitative-descriptive method was used for this analysis, with primary data being obtained and identified through informants. Meanwhile, books, scientific journals, and other pieces of relevant literature were used as secondary data and analyzed inductively. The results showed that elementary schools did not pragmatically have Islamic Religious Education services although the rights of the Muslim students in obtaining them had been guaranteed by the Indonesian Government through the National Education System (NES) Law Number 20 of 2003. This led to the inaccessibility of the educational services, with the main factor being the insufficient number of Islamic students, as required by the NES. Despite the unfulfilled quota to obtain these services, government control as policymakers was still needed. This indicated that the ministry and the education office at the central and regional levels should have alternative solutions, respectively, without being negligent in resolving the problematic condition. Based on these results, the patterns by which the state failed in the equal availability and accessibility of religious education to Indonesian students were observed at all levels of state elementary schools under its regulation. These subsequently strengthened inequalities in this educational field while practicing religious discrimination based on accessibility. Additionally, the results suggest that the central and regional Indonesian governments, as well as other related agencies, need to be more proactive in providing religious education services to all institutional students. This leads to the availability of equality in obtaining education for all citizens, as mandated by law.
In its history, the development of Islamic education closely related to the financing. The financing sources of this institution are not only from government, but also from itself supporting earning mainly from students or other shapes of educational economic activities. The donation institution is one of these economic activity that can decrease the ignorance and retardation by education and development of sciences. That donation institution plays important role in developing Islamic education in Indonesia.PENDIDIKAN mempunyai peranan yang penting dalam peningkatan kualitas sumber daya manusia. Pendidikan mempengaruhi secara penuh pertumbuhan ekonomi suatu bangsa. Hal ini bukan saja karena pendidikan akan berpengaruh terhadap produktivitas, melainkan juga akan berpengaruh terhadap dinamika masyarakat. Pendidikan menjadikan sumber daya manusia lebih cepat mengerti dan siap dalam menghadapi perubahan di lingkungan kerja. Oleh karena itu, tidak mengherankan jika negara yang memiliki penduduk dengan tingkat pendidikan yang tinggi akan mempunyai tingkat pertumbuhan ekonomi yang pesat. 1 Dalam meningkatkan kualitas manusia Indonesia, pemerintah merupakan satu sistem yang menyatu dengan elemen masyarakat dan pihak swasta. Hubungan pemerintah, masyarakat, dan pihak swasta merupakan hubungan yang tidak terpisahkan dalam berperanan serta untuk meningkatkan pemerataan mutu pendidikan. Pada umumnya, pendidikan diakui sebagai suatu investasi sumber daya manusia. Hal ini berarti bahwa pendidikan dapat memberikan sumbangan terhadap pembangunan sosial dan ekonomi melalui cara-cara peningkatan pengetahuan, keterampilan, kecakapan, dan produktivitas. Nowadays, education tends to ignore the value of human being which consists of the liberation. The liberation value in human individual is taken by another person who yells out democracy. We can find the real fact in reality where one person takes another person’s right through an institution with democracy and quality reasons. An education scientist, Paulo Freire, gives an illustration that education today through formal institution makes robot in human who work as mechanic machine, where their independent to act and express the ideas is limited. In simple way, Freire points out that, “The absolute consistency will make life becomes worthless, discolor, and cannot be felt experience.” Based on the statement above, Freire has deschooling concept, the concept of study without schooling. It’s because the study can be done out of the formal school even in outdoor condition.
