Abstract-A large number of deaths are caused by Traffic accidents worldwide. The global crisis of road safety can be seen by observing the significant number of deaths and injuries that are caused by road traffic accidents. In many situations the family members or emergency services are not informed in time. This results in delayed emergency service response time, which can lead to an individual's death or cause severe injury. The purpose of this work is to reduce the response time of emergency services in situations like traffic accidents or other emergencies such as fire, theft/robberies and medical emergencies. By utilizing onboard sensors of a smartphone to detect vehicular accidents and report it to the nearest emergency responder available and provide real time location tracking for responders and emergency victims, will drastically increase the chances of survival for emergency victims, and also help save emergency services time and resources.
teacher–student interactions in the classroom. Moreover, the differencesin frequency of interaction, differences in types of teacher initiatives andresponses towards boys and girls in the classroom were also identified.Total 36 lessons were observed in grade 8th classroom in a local school inGujranwala. Each class lesson was observed for 30 minutes.Observations were coded using the Interactions for Sex Equity inClassroom Teaching (INTERSECT) observational research tool. Thestudy found that boys received more praise from female teachers thanmale teachers. Moreover, both male and female teachers criticize boysmore while male teachers tend to interact more with girls than boys. Thispaper provides guide lines to the curriculum planners to recommendgender neutral teaching techniques for the male and female teachers to bepracticed in mixed gender (coed) classes.
In the present era, education has emerged as a countrywide mission in developed and developing countries. Countries are utilizing their energies to deal with the transformations forthcoming in higher education. The research under investigation, reviews the global developments in the area of higher education (HE) all over the world and surveys the expected facets of HE in Pakistan. The researcher adopted qualitative approach and collected data through open form questionnaire from faculty members, PhD students, University Administrative Officers and professionals (Educationists/Educational Consultants). The study identifies 26 main global trends and 10 sub-trends of higher education in global perspective. Nvivo 9.2 was used for thematic analysis of transcriptions. Different techniques of Nvivo, metrics coding queries, word frequency and text search were used to explain the reflections of participants. The result of the study revealed that quality assurance and accountability, economic competition, international student mobility and advancement in technology appeared as favourite developments in Pakistan. The study results are productive pointers for university teachers, students, HE administration and educational professionals for future improvements in HE in Pakistan.Higher Education for the Future 2(2) [175][176][177][178][179][180][181][182][183][184][185][186][187][188][189][190][191][192][193] Pakistan is a sovereign Islamic state of South Asia, covering an area of 796,095 km 2 and stands at the sixth position in the world with a population of more than 180 million. The country's economy has well-integrated agriculture sector with semiindustrialization. Pakistan consists of four provinces: Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pukhtunkhwa and Balouchistan as well as federal capital of Islamabad and in the northwest, federally administered tribal areas. The self-governance ordinance 2009 provides empowerment to Gilgit-Baltistan and gave it a province like status. In Pakistan the quality of education especially at higher level has a declining trend. The literacy rate of the country is 58.5 per cent of the population above 10 years of age. Male literacy rate is 70.2 per cent and literacy rate among females is 46.3 per cent. The education system is based on six levels, pre-primary, primary (1-5 years), elementary (6-8 years), secondary or matriculation (9-10 years), intermediate or higher secondary (11-12 years) and university education leading to graduate and post-graduate degrees. Through the different initiatives and different policies and programmes, the government is very hopeful of acquiring the literacy rate of 86 per cent by the year 2015.
The current work presents a sensitive, selective, cost-effective, and environmentally benign protocol for the detection of ibuprofen (IBP) by an electrochemical probe made of a glassy carbon electrode modified with Ag-ZnO and MWCNTs. Under optimized conditions, the designed sensing platform was found to sense IBP up to a 28 nM limit of detection. The interaction of IBP with bovine serum albumin (BSA) was investigated by differential pulse voltammetry. IBP−BSA binding parameters such as the binding constant and the stoichiometry of complexation were calculated. The results revealed that IBP and BSA form a single strong complex with a binding constant value of 8.7 × 1013. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first example that reports not only IBP detection but also its BSA complexation.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
