Pembelajaran daring adalah salah satu kebijakan yang terpaksa diambil oleh pemerintah Indonesia sebagai upaya memutus mata rantai distribusi COVID-19 di masyarakat terutama di lingkungan sekolah. Kebijakan ini memaksakan adanya penjarakan sosial dalam pembelajaran antara guru dan peserta didik, yang semula metode pembelajarannya sebagian besar adalah tatap muka dan sekarang menjadi pembelajaran berbasis online/daring. Penulisan ini menggunakan metode studi literasi Namun demikian pelaksanaan pembelajaran daring memiliki tantangan/kendala, baik dari aspek sumber daya manusia, sarana-prasarana, dan teknis implementasi. Berkenaan dengan kebijakan pembelajaran daring ini tentunya semua pihak harus bekerjasama dengan baik agar pembelajaran daring menjadi kebijakan yang efektif sehingga hasil belajar peserta didik saat pembelajaran daring tidak kalah dari hasil belajar tatap muka di ruang kelas seperti pada saat pra-pandemi di negara kita. Teknologi sangat berperan penting bagi peserta didik dalam mengikuti pembelajaran daring, Berbagai Platform digunakan dalam pembelajaran daring. Berbagai respon positif disampaikan peserta didik terkait pembelajaran daring. selain itu guru serta orang tua juga tidak kalah berperan dalam memberikan dukungan dan bimbingan terhadap usaha belajar anak. Kompetensi dan keterampilan guru harus terus diperkaya, didukung oleh kebijakan sekolah yang mendorong guru terus belajar. Pihak terkait juga perlu mengevaluasi pembelajaran daring tersebut agar tujuan pembelajaran dapat tercapai secara optimal.
One of the problems in learning history is that the students could only understand the contents of learning material without understanding it in depth. Such circumstance makes the students less able to think critically in interpreting historical events. This article examines how discovery learning model and CTL learning model become a solution to develop students' critical thinking skills in historical learning. This descriptive qualitative approach was used in this research. The data was conducted by interviews and literature review of previous studies, research journals, books and other reliable sources. From our analysis, the discovery learning and Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) are learning models that provide a systematical learning process to improving student`s critical thinking skill. Discovery learning and CTL help teachers to make a connection between learning materials and student`s real-world situations and encourage students to connect their knowledge and praxis in their lives as a family or the member of society. The concept of learning models is not exclusive, but it can be combined with other learning models, such as process skills learning, experiment learning, demonstrations, discussions, and so on. The implementation of students` activities, which tend to construct their knowledge, educate the student to think critically through inquiry process or find their own problems, freedom of questioning, and applying learning community.
Distance learning is one of the policies taken by the Indonesian government by studying it carefully as an effort to break the chain of the pandemic that is currently happening in the community, especially in the school environment. This policy is without social distancing that occurs in learning between teachers and students, which was originally a learning method mostly in the classroom meeting face to face, and now it is online-based learning. This writing uses the literacy study method, however, the implementation of online learning certainly has challenges/obstacles, both from the aspect of human resources, infrastructure, and technical implementation. With regard to this online learning policy, of course, all parties must understand well that online learning is an effective policy so that the learning outcomes of students during learning are not inferior to the results of face-to-face learning in the classroom as before the pandemic. Changes and developments in technology are very important for students in participating in online learning. Various platforms are used in online learning. Various positive responses were given by students regarding online learning. The competence and skills of teachers must be continuously updated and supported by school policies that encourage teachers to continue learning. Then it requires an evaluation related to online learning so that learning objectives can be achieved properly and maximally.
