Fintech is the compound of two independent words i.e. finance and technology. It can be defined as "Computer programs and advanced technologies used to support or enable banking and financial services". Fintech has become one of the most dynamic and energetic segments of the financial services marketplace around the globe. Islamic Fintech is in its infancy stage as compared to the global Fintech industry. However, it is also growing exponentially. New Islamic fintech platforms have been established in various countries i.e. Malaysia, Bahrain, Brunei, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. Islamic robo advisors have been introduced and the blockchain technology is also being deployed by some Islamic Fintechs. There is a lack of literature on Islamic Fintech and the present paper is an attempt to fill this gap using scientific methodology. This paper gives an overview of the Islamic Fintech industry and its global landscape. The major objectives of this paper are to understand and interpret a new phenomenon (Islamic Fintech industry), and to study the challenges and propose recommendations. The study uses the qualitative research method with the inductive approach in creating an overview of the phenomena that has not been researched enough so far. Findings show that the Islamic Fintech has the potential to revolutionize the whole Islamic financial industry by using the advanced technologies. The Islamic Fintechs have the potential to reshape Islamic finance by improving the efficiency of Islamic financial services and to deal with the existing challenges.
A Mufassir is like a jewel for Muslims. His task is very important in providing a true understanding of the verses of the Qur'an which is the word of Allah SWT. Since the Qur’an was revealed in Arabic and understanding its contents is necessary to tadabbur and observation, then this study examines one of the most important aspects that need to be mastered by a mufassir which is to know and understand the Arabic language. The purpose of this study is to dismantle the importance of the elements of the Arabic language for a mufassir, further examine the great impact of the Arabic language in understanding the Qur'an. Similarly, identify the basic knowledge in the branch of Arabic language that needs to be mastered by a commentator. This study uses a descriptive method by collecting the views of scholars of tafsir and the Arabic language of the past on the importance of mastering and understanding the Arabic language and then study and draw conclusions from it. The study found that understanding the Qur’an is one of the most important requirements in Islamic law and cannot achieve understanding of the Qur’an except by mastering the Arabic language. In addition, in understanding the Qur’an there are some important sciences that are listed largely under the branch of Arabic language. In addition, the law of learning the Arabic language is Fardhu Kifayah for Muslims.
Abstrak Seorang Mufassir ibarat permata bagi umat Islam. Tugasannya amat penting dalam memberikan kefahaman yang benar terhadap ayat-ayat al-Qur’an yang merupakan kalam Allah SWT. Memandangkan al-Qur’an diturunkan dalam bahasa Arab dan memahami isinya perlu kepada tadabbur dan pemerhatian, maka kajian ini meneliti salah satu aspek terpenting yang perlu dikuasai oleh seorang mufassir iaitu mengetahui dan memahami bahasa Arab. Tujuan kajian ini ialah merungkai betapa pentingnya elemen bahasa Arab bagi seorang mufassir, selanjutnya meneliti betapa besar kesan bahasa Arab dalam memahami al-Quran. Begitu juga mengenal pasti ilmu-ilmu dasar dalam cabang ilmu bahasa Arab yang perlu dikuasai oleh seorang Mufassir. Kajian ini menggunakan kaedah deskriptif dengan mengumpul pandangan ulama tafsir dan bahasa Arab silam terhadap kepentingan menguasai dan memahami bahasa arab seterusnya mengkaji dan mengeluarkan kesimpulan darinya. Kajian mendapati bahawa memahami al-Qur’an merupakan suatu tuntutan terpenting dalam syariat Islam dan tidak boleh mencapai memahami al-Qur’an melainkan dengan menguasai bahasa Arab. Selain itu, dalam memahami al-Qur’an terdapat beberapa ilmu penting yang tersenarai sebahagian besarnya di bawah cabang ilmu bahasa Arab. The hadiths of Rasulullah SAW have various contents, including the stories narrated by the Prophet SAW. These hadiths are known as al-Qasas al-Nabawi. The approach to conveying the story is one of the uniqueness of the Prophet SAW in conveying knowledge and education. This study aims to examine the method of writing the works of al-Qasas al-Nabawi, which are compiled by modern writers and not presented thematically in major hadith works such as Kutub al-Sittah or Kutub al-Tisah. Abu Ishaq al-Huwaini and Umar Sulayman al-Asyqar are among the modern writers who have compiled these hadiths relating to al-Qasas al-Nabawi in their works. However, there are differences in the method of compilation and presentation of this hadith by the two authors, although authentic hadith were used as the basis of the study. The methodology of this study uses a qualitative study design with the method of content analysis on the work of al-Qasas al-Nabawi by Abu Ishaq al-Huwaini and Umar Sulayman al-Asyqar. The results of the study found that these two scriptures use the same method in selecting only the authentic hadith related to al-Qasas al-Nabawi, but have different methods in other aspects. The different methods used by the two authors include the choice of topics included in the hadith, the number of hadiths discussed, and the approach to presenting the teachings at the end of each hadith. In addition, the work of al-Qasas al-Nabawi by Abu Ishaq al-Huwaini is more concise and not suitable as a reference work for the public, as the author notes in the foreword to this book. The work of al-Qasas al-Nabawi by Umar Sulayman al-Asyqar is more systematic and useful as a guide for the public to understand the authentic hadith in the category of al-Qasas al-Nabawi.
