Scheduling is a common problem that has been raised for a long time. Many algorithms have been created for this problem. Some algorithms offer flexibility in terms of constraints and complex operations. Because of that complexity, many algorithms will need huge computation resources and execution time. A platform like a web application has many restrictions such as execution time and computation resources. A complex algorithm is not suited for the web application platform. Priority scheduling is a scheduling algorithm based on a priority queue. Every schedule slot will produce a queue based on the constraints. Each constraint will have a different weight. Weight in queue represents their priority. This algorithm provides a light algorithm that only needs a few computations and execution times. The exam schedule is one of many problems in educational institutions. A web application is a popular platform that can be accessed from everywhere. Many educational institutions use web platforms as their main system platform. Web platforms have some restrictions such as execution time. Due to web platform restrictions, priority scheduling is a suitable algorithm for this platform. In this study, the author tries to implement a priority scheduling algorithm in scheduling cases with a website platform and shows that this algorithm solution can be an alternative for solving scheduling cases with low computational resources.
Transportation of goods using trucks is an irreplaceable method. However, it is undeniable that the truck-based method of transporting goods often attracts controversies, such as over-loading and products containing hazardous chemicals. This makes the need for automation of loading goods to trucks so that intentional or unintentional errors such as overloading and damage caused when an accident occurs in the process of loading chemical goods can be minimized. Of the four stages proposed in the automation process, namely (1) Trucks enter the cargo loading area, (2) Measurement of the volume or capacity of the vessel, (3) Calculation of the ideal arrangement of products on the vessel, and (4) The process of loading goods using a robotic devices. This article contains the design process for measuring the volume or capacity of the vessel. The measurement process is carried out using a plus (+) laser module and the steps taken in the measurement process are scanning the vessel that is highlighted using the laser module at several angles using a camera and calculating the length, width, and height of the body using trigonometric formulas. With the automation of loading goods, it is hoped that human intervention in the loading and unloading process can be eliminated so that errors that may occur can be minimized.
Virtual reality (VR), realitas maya, atau realitas virtual adalah teknologi multimedia yang ditujukan agar pengguna dapat merasakan berada pada lingkungan digital yang seolah-olah nyata. Lingkungan yang disimulasikan oleh komputer disebut pula dengan nama computer-simulated environment, yaitu tiruan dari suatu lingkungan sebenarnya atau benar-benar suatu lingkungan yang hanya ada dalam imajinasi. Sekolah Alam Ar-Ridho merupakan sekolah yang berbasis pada explorasi alam sebagai bahan pendidikan dengan konsep penelitian dasar. Pada sekolah ini, siswa dididik memanfaatkan alam sebagai media penelitian dan penggalian ide. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah membuat konten virtual reality yang dapat digunakan oleh sekolah Alam Ar-Ridho untuk membantu dalam pengembangan proses belajar mengajar pada sekolah tersebut. Adapun metode yang dilakukan pada pengabdian ini terdiri dari enam tahapan, yaitu 1) Observasi lapangan, 2) Perancangan konten VR, 3) Pembuatan konten VR, 4) Pengujian, 5) Pelatihan SDM, dan 6) Pemeliharaan peralatan. Diharapkan dengan adanya fasilitas Virtual Reality, siswa dapat bereksplorasi lebih jauh dengan mempelajari tanaman yang tidak tersedia di lingkungan sekolah.
