Soil behavior is often a challenge for a Civil Engineer in planning a construction for roads or buildings. Clay soils have expansive properties, which means that during the dry season, clay soils are stiff and have high bearing capacity, but during the rainy season, the water content increases become saturated that the soil expands and its bearing capacity decreases, making it dangerous for buildings and foundations. One method of soil improvement that is being developed at this time is by adding addictive agent such as cement to make soil into soil-cement in order to improve the mechanical properties of the soil and increase its bearing capacity. In this study, an analysis in the CBR value of low plasticity clay was carried out with the addition cement with variations of 5%, 10% and 15% of the ɤd clay. The results of the sample test after curing and soaking turned out to be a significant increase in the CBR value where at the addition of 5% cement there was an increase of 3 times and at the addition of 15% cement there was an increase of almost 4 times compared to unstabilized clay.
