Betel leaf (Piper betle) contains an essential oil that has extreme antiseptic power (bactericidal and fungicidal). Betel leaf (Piper betle) can be used in the treatment of Tinea versicolor or known in the community as panu. However, its use in the form of leaves is considered impractical by the public and also difficult to obtain. This research formulated betel leaf (Piper betle) into lotion preparations, so its use in the community can be more practical. This study aims to determine the type and concentration of the suspending agent used to produce lotion preparations from betel leaf extract (Piper betle), which has optimal physical quality. This research was an experimental study. The distillation of betel leaf (Piper betle) was carried out to get essential oils. The essential oils of betel leaf (Piper betle), which was used as an active substance in formulations, was 5%. Suspending agents that were used in this study were Arabic gum with concentrations of 10%, 15%, 20%, and CMC Na, with concentrations of 0.25%, 0.5%, and 1%. The formulation of lotion preparations included organoleptic observation, pH test, homogeneity test, and adhesion test. Based on the physical quality test of the lotion preparations that had been conducted, it can be concluded that the lotion preparations of betel leaf extract with 20% concentration of Arabic Gum suspending agent had physical qualities in accordance with lotion dosage criteria.

Model pemasaran dengan menggunakan internet atau onlinediprediksi akan menjadi sebuah nilai tambah bagi produk atau jasa di masa mendatang.Tujuan utamadari program hibah pengabdian Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) Lembaga Penelitian, Publikasi,dan Pengabdian UMY ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan dari khalayak dusun mitra, yaitupengrajin anyaman bambu di Dusun Tangkil Desa Muntuk Dlingo Kabupaten Bantul DaerahIstimewa Yogyakarta, dalam memasarkan produk secara online. Mitra secara teknis diajarkanbagaimana cara membuat katalog yang menarik, mendaftarkan profil bisnis di mesin pencari googleserta toko-toko online yang ada di Indonesia. Selain itu, mitra juga diajarkan bagaimana cara beriklansecara online. Hal ini diharapkan akan meningkatan pendapatan masyarakat desa mitra. Upaya yangdilakukan untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut antara lain adalah penyuluhan mengenai pemasaran daring(online marketing), pelatihan dan praktek pembuatan katalog, mendaftarkan produk atau jasa yangditawarkan ke mesin pencari google dan toko online, serta penyuluhan mengenai model pemasaransecara online. Program hibah kemitraan PKM oleh LP3M UMY ini pada akhirnya dapat membantumeningkatkan kemampuan masyarakat desa mitra dalam bidang pemasaran secara online, mulai daripembuatan katalog yang menarik hingga cara melakukan promosi melalui internet atau online, sehinggadapat bersaing dengan kompetitor-kompetitor yang sudah ada.
There are many factors that can lead to the transmission of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), one of which is the lack of knowledge on the virus and its prevention, notably in Indonesia. This study was focused to design and build an interactive learning app for COVID-19 education. The design of this study was research and development, and in terms of the app development, it utilized the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation model. The project was carried out from July to December 2021, and it involved 25 study participants. The findings of this study confirmed that the educational app consisted of education, a symptom checker, a list of vaccine information links, the latest news, and COVID-19 statistics. The validity assessment showed that the educational app in this study was very appropriate to be utilized as a digital medium for patient education. In addition, it was also confirmed that all the functions of the app worked well, and participants strongly agreed that the educational materials and features of the app were interesting and helped them to learn COVID-19 prevention easily. It could be concluded that the app could be used as a learning medium for patient education. Further studies, however, were needed to prove its effectiveness in the real clinical world.
