This study aims to determine the antecedent of job engagement towards job embeddedness and the working performance among the educational staffs of Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa University. The research design can be categorized as ex-post facto with a correlational study that examines the relationship between each research variable. The research sample used 118 educational staff at Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa University. The data analysis used the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) technique by using Lisrel 8.50 software. The research finding revealed that job embeddedness had a positive influence on job engagement significantly. Job satisfaction showed a positive influence on job engagement significantly. However, the influence of job embeddedness on the performance of educational staffs in Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa University was not proven. The influence of job embeddedness towards the performance will be stronger through job engagement. Job engagement indicated a positive influence on the performance among the educational staff of Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa University. Job engagement will make employees feel inspired, motivated, and energetic to do their work, thereby improving their performance.
