Anak disabilitas rungu memiliki keterbatasan pendengaran sehingga mengalami hambatan dalam perkembangan bahasa. Keterbatasan tersebut mempengaruhi tingkat pengetahuan anak terhadap informasi yang didapatkan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh penyuluhan menggunakan permainan ular tangga dalam peningkatan pengetahuan kesehatan gigi dan mulut pada anak disabilitas rungu di SLB Negeri Semarang. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan Experimental dengan pre and post test group design. Sampel diambil dengan teknik total sampling yaitu seluruh siswa disabilitas rungu di SLB Negeri Semarang berjumlah 45 anak. Penelitian ini dilakukan sebanyak 5 kali pertemuan. Data dinalisis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data yang dilakukan, menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan (p0,05) pada data sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan penyuluhan menggunakan permainan ular tangga yang artinya terdapat pengaruh pada penyuluhan menggunakan permainan ular tangga terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan kesehatan gigi dan mulut anak disabilitas rungu. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah penyuluhan menggunakan permainan ular tangga berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan kesehatan gigi dan mulut pada anak disabilitas rungu.
Background: Dental and oral hygiene for brushing their teeth. Often many parents do not learn and practice their personal hygiene. In this study, counseling was carried out on how to brush teeth on behavior in preschool children. Tooth brushing skills must be taught from an early age, especially preschool children who are in a period of growth and development in order to change behavior from those that are detrimental to their health. Method: The research method is Pre-Experimental Design with the research design used is One group pre-test and post-test control design. There are steps, namely initial observation (O1) or pre-test, counseling (providing intervention), final observation (O2) or post-test, and data analysis. The intervention was given to the respondents using a simulation technique using the phantom tooth Bass method where the researcher would observe for 20 days. Result: The results showed that there was a significant effect indicating the significance value of the Wilcoxon was 0.00 (p < 0.05) Conclusion: There is an effect of counseling on how to brush teeth on behavioral changes in preschool children at RA MNU 36 Mutmainah.Respondents have sufficient skill level as much as 1 person (1.5%).
Background: Acrylic resins, as dentistry materials, were widely used as artificial tooth based because of flexibily, easily obtained, inexpensive, and the most significant reason was biocompatible. Acrylic resin itself had a deficiency of brittle and easy fracture. One solution to overcome these shortcomings was to add sisal fibers to acrylic resins known as Fiber Reinforced Acrylic Resins (FRAR). The purpose of this research was to know the effect of sisal fiber addition to the impact strength of FRAR.Methods: Post-test-only control group design was used as laboratory experimental. Total used sample was 32 acrylic resin plats hot cured with size 55x10x10 mm. Experiment group was divided into two groups, one group with non-alkalization, and another group with alkalization. Impact strength was tested by universal testing machine (UTM).Results: Impact strength highest avarage was on alkalization group, with number 0.0214 J/mm2 and the lowest was on non-alkalization group, with number 0.0145 J/mm2. Background: The subject of dental health care has been receiving a lot of attention from Moslems in Indonesia, especially its accordance with Al-Qur’an and Sunnah. It has encouraged numerous researches which corelate dental health care through Islamic perspective, and ignored the perspective of dentistry. Consequently, this research is aimed to develop, formulate and validate the competence of moslem dentists.Method: Experts’ agreement was develop using Delphi method. The result then was developed into an instrument with 2 criteria was used to determine content validity index (CVI) and content validity ratio (CVR). The result was developed into a 5-point Likert scale instrument which would be used to determine internal consistency (Cronbach’s alpha) and corrected item–total correlation with Pearson’s correlation.Results: The qualitative method generated 4 domains. Domain shiddiq comprised 2 components, domain amanah 2 components, domain tabligh 2 components and domain fathonah 4 components with the value of agreement of each domain was approximately between 67% - 100%. The CVR value of the components of competence was between 0,69 – 1, while the CVI value was 0,877. The reliability test scored 0,923.Conclusion: The Competence Standards of Islamic Dentistry can be used as guidance for designing Islamic dental curriculum. Further research should be conducted to design assessment.
