Adding perfusion MR imaging to the combination of CE contrast enhanced T1-weighted imaging and DW diffusion weighted imaging significantly improves the prediction of recurrent glioblastoma; however, selection of perfusion MR method does not affect the diagnostic performance.
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE:Intravoxel incoherent motion MR imaging can simultaneously measure the diffusion and perfusion characteristics of brain tumors. Our aim was to determine the utility of intravoxel incoherent motion-derived perfusion and diffusion parameters for assessing the treatment response of metastatic brain tumor following gamma knife radiosurgery.
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE:The increased cochlear signal on FLAIR images in patients with acoustic neuroma is explained by an increased concentration of protein in the perilymphatic space. However, there is still debate whether there is a correlation between the increased cochlear FLAIR signal and the degree of hearing disturbance in patients with acoustic neuroma. Our aim was to investigate the clinical significance of an increased cochlear 3D FLAIR signal in patients with acoustic neuroma according to acoustic neuroma extent in a large patient cohort.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
