The influence of talc filler, its content, as well as an additional heat treatment and temperature on the regularities of polylactide materials water-absorption has been researched. Based on the obtained data, the water diffusion coefficient in polylactide materials and the activation energy of the diffusion process were determined. It was found that the process of water absorption by the filled and heat-treated materials based on polylactide proceeds slower and requires more activation energy of the process. Stability of the developed polylactide materials to acidic and alkaline media has been determined, in particular, it was found that the destruction of polylactide samples occurs faster in an alkaline medium than in an acidic one
Physico-chemical properties of developed nickel-containing modified silicate materials as the nucleators for composites based on polyamide 6 are presented. As it was established, additive of the nucleator modified by polyvinylpyrrolidone promotes the increase of crystallinity degree of polyamide 6 and the decrease of crystallite size. It was found that changes in the structure of the material cause the increase of its tensile strength, surface hardness and Vicat softening point.
The features of obtaining and modifying Ba- and Zn-containing polymer-silicate fillers have been researched. The influence of polystyrene modifiers (suspension and impact-resistant polystyrene) and finely dispersed Ba- and Zn-containing polymer-silicate fillers on the gelation process, view of flow curves, rheological properties: flow index, flow limit, thermal stability, surface hardness and elasticity of plasticized poly(vinyl chloride) have been discovered.
The influence of additive nature as well as its ratio on the rheological, tribological and technological properties of blends based on ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene has been determined. The energy costs impact in the polymer blends processing has been studied. It is shown that the rheological and tribological properties of the samples have a complicated dependence, which is determined by inhomogeneity of the system. The paper takes into consideration the influence of the friction coefficient of material and the viscosity of its melt on energy costs during processing by injection molding or extrusion
The influence of low-molecular additives of different structure on the polyvinylpyrrolidone and hydroxyethyl compositions has been researched. The adhesive ability based on the contact angle compositions carried on linings of variable nature has been characterized. The effect of additives of different nature on the adhesive strength of the glue seam of polyvinylpyrrolidone containing compositions estimated by Dupre-Ung methodology has been studied.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
