The article is devoted to the activation of interest in mathematics among primary school students. The article shows that the development of interest in mathematics among younger schoolchildren can be carried out by composing text tasks of a regional nature in extracurricular classes. The authors give examples of the organization of such work.
The method of theatricalization is described, which is used in solving textual mathematical problems in mathematics lessons in elementary grades at all stages of working with a composite problem. This improves students’ understanding of the structure of the task, its semantic parts, increases the likelihood that the task will be solved correctly, and there will be a versatile development of students.
The article deals with a modern mathematics lesson in elementary school, which includes the formation of students’ UUD. An important factor in teaching younger schoolchildren is not only the knowledge gained in the lesson, but also the acquired cognitive skills.
