Synthesis and Antimicrobial Activity of Novel Indole Derivatives. -Some novel indole derivatives (III) and (IV) are synthesized as possible new antimicrobial agents. While all the derivatives are inactive against Gram-negative bacteria and yeasts, they show good activity against various Gram-positive bacteria and especially good tuberculostatic action.
