The article considers scientific approaches to the definition of the essence of a person’s subjectivity, describes the directions of manifestation of subjectivity, relevant for young people during their studies at the university. The main conclusions of the analysis of The results of the conducted empirical research are presented analyzed in order to identify the level of subjectivity of university students and the influence of subjectivity on the effectiveness of educational activities. The conditions for the purposeful development of young people’s subjectivity in the educational space of the university are formulated.
